A recent kitchen remodel had us keeping our gently used bisque appliances until the dishwasher broke down just prior to the actual remodel. I took this as a sign to upgrade to Stainless all around . I looked at a few fridges, turned a corner and BAM, was instantly in love with the Kitchenaid Architect.The independent drawer was THE major draw! Everyone who has seen it LOVES it's size and sleek , classy design . I spoke with the salesman a few weeks after the install and told him everyone is " in lust" with the fridge, mainly because of the drawer feature!!

My son loves the dispensing feature (and so do I) - he just sets the ounces he wants to dispense and when the glass is full, he sets up another glass and brings the full one to the table while it fills. Nice way to get him to pitch in!
I love the fridge drawer - I put all the snacks and drinks there so we all have easy access with out hunting around and letting all the cool air out.
My only complaint is that it scratches easily. I discovered that it had a magnetic surface and someone dragged the magnet across the surface leaving an ugly scratch.

I'm normally a simplest and don't spend the money on features. However, we wanted something easy to maintain and that last for years to come. The frig is well designed to make the most out of every cubic inch of space. I love the stainless face which makes it easy to wipe down between cleanings. I was worried about the stainless make every little finger print stand out, but I doesn't. The metal texture hides a lot more than you would think. My only negative comment and I mean my only negative comment would be that every once and a great while the ice maker gets stuck. it's probably because we don't use a lot of ice and it doesn't get used as much as some other may. But, I love the option of crushed ice and the programmable fill settings. I find myself drinking more tap water now that we have the built in filter. And our city water is normally horrible. So I can only imagine how good the filter must be to make it taste as good as bottle water. I love the efficient LED lignting. I always hated constantly change bulbs in our old fridge. Overall, I believe it was money well spent. Only time will test the rest since we have only had our new appliances for about three months now.

I love this fridge ! It is so roomy and easy to organize . The freezer holds a lot in the roomy bins. My favorite thing is the drawer, which I use for produce, but have also used for a large sheet cake . It looks fabulous and modern !
