We've had our KitchenAid refrigerator for just over a month, and we find it very convenient to use. Both the refrigerator and freezer hold a lot of food, and we love the center drawer for things we use the most. The warranty was considerably better than on other brands we considered. I first became acquainted with KitchenAid products as a child when my father (who had worked as a baker) said KitchenAid mixers were the best you could buy!

We love the ease of having 4 doors. The top refrigerator is so much more convenient than having the freezer up top! The middle draw is perfect to keep all your produce where it's convenient to "see" and "grab" without bending over to dig through drawers at the bottom of the fridge! Love having the freezer on the bottom. You'll realize how often you're in the fridge and not the freezer by having it on the bottom

I bought this about a month ago and I am very unhappy. The noise level is very unacceptable. It is louder than my 8 year old I replaced. Service tech came out and said this is normal for this model, louder than other models. KitchenAid said once installed it is mine. How do you know how loud it is until it is installed. Makes sense. KitchenAid apparently does not care about customers.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

After years (or actually decades) of side by side refrigerators, the way things are placed and viewed in the KitchenAid model make storing and getting at my cold foods much easier! I like the way I can look at all the refrigerated stuff in one glance (including the see-through pull out drawer) then go for what I need.
Being able to lay things out that I used to have to stack, all my berries for example, means there's less need to move other things to get to what I want.
