I've had this equipment for 3 months now. It works perfectly. I love the ice and water dispenser and the pull out drawer. Am still arranging and rearranging where to put items but it performed well when the kids and grandkids visited us recently!

Poor quality, ice maker breaks annually

I bought this fridge two years ago. Exactly 13 months after purchase the ice maker had to be completely replaced. Then one year after that, it stopped working again and needs to be replaced. Very disappointed. Will never buy Kitchen Aid again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We bought this refrigerator only 2 years ago. It wasn't cheap but we wanted something that we thought would last. It hasn't been the quietest of refrigerators since the beginning. Also, the ice-maker has always been a little flakey but now it doesn't work at all. I would have expected a longer life from something that is supposed to be higher quality (and certainly more expensive). Not sure how much the repairs will cost yet as we have only had the service person evaluate it and told us we need a completely new ice-maker.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Loads of Room and Conveniences

We bought this fridge about two weeks ago, so we are still in the learning phase, but so far we love it! It's great having everything in the fridge at eye level. We are able to find what we need and know what we have at a glance. The shelves in the left door are not deep or tall enough to hold much at all. If KitchenAid decides to redo this model I would suggest it make it an in-the-door ice maker, or make the shelves deeper in the door. But this is the only issue we have come across so far. The drawer is very versatile can be used for so many things. We use it for our vegetables. They seem to stay fresh longer with the climate control and are easy to grab.
We love having the freezer on the bottom, as we don?t get into it as often as we do the fridge. It doesn't hold as much as a traditional top freezer but we have a separate freezer for larger items.
This is our first in-the-door dispenser. The water is cold and the ice cubes are small but the ice maker keeps up with our high demand.
Our family highly recommends this refrigerator.

Tons of storage and fresh veggies

This is my second one.. y e s..second. the first one I purchased was in a house I sold last year. I hated leaving it but the buyer really loved it. Once I moved into my new house I replaced the refrigerator with this awesome Kitchenaid model. I couldn't live without it. There is so much storage inside. The separate section for fruits and veggies keeps my food fresh for much longer than you would expect. And since you can see it from inside the main fridge you know what you have and it doesn't disappear like in standard refrigerator drawers. The freezer is spacious and overall this is a gorgeous appliance. I love it!!
