This refrigerator makes sense....
The freezer at the bottom is used less often than the upper part.
The drawer is perfect for seeing what produce I have on hand.
The freezer is larger than previous side by side and I can store pizzas and other large objects.
The pull out freezer drawers allow me to see exactly what is in the freezer.
The ice maker and water in the door are very convenient.
When preparing to entertain, there is ample storage for large platters.
Have I mentioned that I LOVE this refrigerator???

Ice maker problems

Ice maker barely works. After three months needs to be replace again and again .We spoke to Kitchen Aid tech support and apparently this is a common problem with this model.They tell me the fridge needs up to 48 hours to fill the small tray with Ice.You are lucky if it doesn't plugged the dispenser and all of the sudden all the Ice will pour at once everywhere.I'm still paying for this repairs. Don't buy this unit if you like ice in your drinks.

My husband bought these appliances for our new kitchen. He knows I love the Kitchen Aid brand. We could not be more pleased. It holds plenty of food. Seems like it will be easy to clean. The water and ice dispenser is a very nice feature that works as it was advertised. The only negative is that the door have to be checked to make sure they are shut. They don't 'float' closed as many models do. They was not a deal breaker for us.

I absolutely love the convenience of the center drawer. It makes perfect sense to put frequently used items in this drawer so they can be accessed without opening the french doors. The interior of the refrigerator is spacious and so is the freezer.
The only problem I've had is with the ice dispenser. It is difficult to keep ice in the glass and it sometimes misses the glass. It acts like it is coming out too fast..... it shoots the ice out, rather than dropping the ice.

Originally thought there was not enough space in the refrigerator due to ice maker, but there is plenty of space. Keeps a perfectly controlled temperature in both refrigerator and freezer. Love the center drawer for drinks and easy access items.

I have had the refrigerator for a couple of years now. We love all aspects of the refrigerator except for one major problem. The ice maker has given us problems from the very beginning and now is completely non-working. At first it had a problem distinguishing between crushed ice and cubes. Also the chute would constantly clog up. Now, shortly after the warranty expired, the ice maker quit working at all. The design of the ice maker in this model refrigerator should be looked into and replaced
