Droid Charge is one of the faster 4G phones for Verizon. I have tried newer phones but still Droid Charge is the beast.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable
Cons: Too big, battery
I would recommend this to a friend!

Terrible

As many other users have pointed out this phone is just straight up terrible. I was quite pleased with the charge for about the first week people were even envious of large display and storage options then things started to go downhill... The buttons for the contacts and phone dialer mysteriously disappeared from the home screen after moving apps to the external memory and that was just weird and annoying. The real issues came when I would have a loud obnoxious crackle or screech go straight into my ear while talking to someone. Not to mention the speed of this phone is a complete joke. Again like many other users I constantly have issues with the connectivity. Of my entire household I'm the only one that can't get wifi in the house and I couldn't get around that issue because I can't use the data either sometimes. That right there is probably my biggest complaint. So make sure you avoid this phone and hopefully Samsung has turned their act around with their newest phones
Pros: Bright display, Durable
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

BY far the best phone ive ever had and/or used. Extremely fast, Amazing touch screen, and great video/sound quality. the only thing i can complain about is how the drivers did not come pre installed with the phone to connect to a PC for the media card.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: no drivers for pc connection?
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Charge is a great phone, performance is outstanding. I am disappointed that it was not released with Gingerbread and that it does not have an message indicator light. Never realized how much I depended on that indicator.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: no message indicator
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this charge on 6-4-11 and as of now I love it, its hard to put down seeing all the features and I like how even in 4g service area which is super fast, the battery does not drain at ridocluos rates like my evo did, anyone looking at this phone between other phone would love this phone, I was torn between the charge and the LG revo both are great phones so you won't go wrong either way I chose the charge cause of the higher MP on camera and the phone is overall lighter than the revo, go with what your gut tells you if your torn between these two phones either way you won't go wrong
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, low battery drain even in 4g
Cons: no missed call or text led
I would recommend this to a friend!

Am I the only one with signal strength problems?

Very beautiful phone. Seems to be fast. I love apps, but I have not had the memory problem everyone else has. I don't like not having a camera button. But for me, its fast, beautiful, and the external speaker is great for music, very loud and clear. But the signal strength is horrible compared to the original Droid. The Droid X2 has at least a bar more signal and -5 more dBm than the original droid, So the Droid X2 is awesome, but the Droid Charge has 1 - 3 less bars, and -5 to -10 less dBm signal than the Original droid in the same spot.
The only other thing I don't like about it, is that its hard to reach the menu button when holding the phone with one hand, I would have switched the home and the menu button around, I use the menu button more often than the home button.
As for the battery, it seems to be around the same as the rest of the high end android smart phones.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, great sound, beautiful display, fast to run and boot., camera takes crisp pics
Cons: Did not meet expectations, signal strength, lots of bloatware
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've had my charge for a little over a week. My previous phone was a motorola droid. I must say that obviously the charge has a much nicer display and with 4g lte support is considerably faster. i have had some issues with service connection i did not have with my droid and i haven't found an app that allows video chat with the front facing camera. I'm sure these issues will be worked out in the near future. overall i really like my charge. the battery life is ok. i like to play games and websurf so a single charge lasts me about 2/3 of my day. not bad i suppose. the camera is pretty good and video quality is excellent imo. i've watched a couple movies from the samsung media hub and they looked awesome. i would recommend the charge if you don't mind paying a little extra for a super nice display and longer battery life.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: connectivity issues
I would recommend this to a friend!
