really hoping for an OS update on it... a little buggy.... but overall performance, and the display are perfect.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color
Cons: has android 2.2 and no news on an official update

STILL waiting on Gingerbread

Purchased the phone outright because I didn't want to be in a contract. The saleman steered me to the phone because of the display (which is impressive), however Samsung is cranking out phones faster than I can keep up with, and they're already getting software upgrades!! What's up with the Samsung Charge not getting upgraded to AT LEAST Gingerbread without rooting it?
Not happy with this phone for what I paid and was told!!
This will be my last Samsung phone.
Pros: Bright display
Cons: Did not meet expectations, no software upgrades
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the phone. Beautiful display and best camera I've ever used on a phone. Touch screen is responsive for the most part, although I have experienced some lag here and there. Battery is solid until apps begin starting themselves (I need a better app killer). Reception is not what I've had with other phones, and I've found myself having to move around to find a signal more often than ideally. Although some people don't like the plastic back, I love it. Very lightweight and easy to access battery. Takes a fall well, even without a case. Solid phone.

Great phone with network and GPS issues

This is a great phone, when it works, it works very well.
Its achillies heel is the inconsistent network connections. A lot of times this phone looses network connection and swaps from 4G to 3G and in the process it looses its network connection completely. Requires toggling airplane mode.
Its GPS is very bad. Compared my wife's HTC, the GPS on the samsung has been very unreliable. The moment I turn on the GPS on the HTC, it works, But on the charge, it usually takes 4-5 minutes. If you are travelling a short distance or trying to locate a place this is of no use.

Cons: network signal inconsistent, bad gps implementation

Great Phone

This is my first android device. I have the extended battery and it works just fine. No problems. I'm waiting for the gingerbread update which should be out this coming Tuesday, so I would imagine the phone will work even better, if that is possible.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color

Dependable not like another popular phone I had

So far so good, easy to use, good tech support and no software problems so far. My previous phone had a lot of software issues and had to go through 3 phones until I had enough and got this one. Works great so far and much more user friendly but still has all the tech stuff I require. The navigation is sensible and not all over the place. It has all the options the other top 10 phone have and it is set up to make sense to operate properly. You don't need a book to do what you want it to do.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, stable software, sensible navigation
Cons: non so far

If bluetooth connectivity isn't important to you, then this is the phone for you. I usually always buy Samsung products because of the success I've had with their other products. Now this phone is another story. I will never buy another Samsung phone for the rest of my life. Once I get a bad tasted in my mouth, its very rare that the taste ever leaves. I can't use any of my bluetooth paired devices with this phone because the bluetooth connectivity disconnects on it own all the time. I'll be on the phone having a conversation with someone, and all of a sudden, I can hear them, but they can't hear me. I have to reboot my phone completely in order to use it again. The phone also has a tendency to reboot on its own all the time. This is my second Droid charge, only because I traded the first one in thinking that all the problems I was have was isolated to that particular phone. I was wrong.
Pros: Lightweight
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, software & hardware bugs
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
