This is product comes installed with bloatware that cannot be uninstalled (with the uninstall feature). The photo quality and video quality are outstanding. The camera is one of the best I've ever seen from a smartphone. The battery life is terrible. I've had the phone for about a week and the battery doesn't last the entire day. The OS is Froyo. This is an old OS. Samsung should update the OS support to Gingerbread. Let them eat cake.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: Too big, Did not meet expectations, no gingerbread support
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Regret buying it.

I regret buying this phone. The battery takes forever to charge and depletes extremely fast through normal use. I have to carry a charger with me wherever I go. Forget about charging it through a computer it does not work.
Pros: Durable
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've owned the Droid Charge for about 4 months. The phone looks great, is generally responsive to the touchscreen, and is great for web surfing and checking email.
There are major problems with the phone's reception of Bluetooth, wifi, cell, and 4G data signals.
Bluetooth - Any interaction with the phone while listening through Bluetooth headsets causes the music or voice to pause and cut out. Web surfing while listening to music is an exercise in frustration, as the Bluetooth music also seems to slow the performance of the phone.
WiFi - very weak reception compared to any other wifi device I've owned, including multiple laptops, iOS devices, and other android phones. The signal is there and it is strong, but the phone can't seem to see it as well as the others.
Cell (voice) - granted, I'm in a weak area at home for Verizon, but I even bought the Network Extender and still have trouble with staticy calls that sometimes seem to drop one side of the conversation or the other, and one of us can't hear the other person.
4G data - the signal sometimes drops from 4G to 3G, then to 1XRTT, then no signal at all. Switching the data off and on, or rebooting the phone, usually seems to help. Data roaming has been enabled, but there are still times in a very strong 4G area, my phone just seems to drop the signal.
Battery life is okay, but nowhere near the 2-3 days I read on other forums. I probably average about 30% battery left by the time I get home from work and plug it in. I bought the charging dock and extra battery, which have saved me when it comes time to take pics at a party.
Camera is great, but a little slow. Lack of a dedicated camera key is a problem. I've had to enable the anti-shake camera feature, because one-handed picture taking causes the pics to blur. Pictures are extremely clear for a camera phone. I'm glad I chose this phone mostly for this feature. But the lack of use of the front camera bothers me, since I'd planned on using video chat but cannot because there are no apps for that.
The premium paid for the phone at the time I bought it was not worth the extra money, I should have held out until both the price dropped and an update to Android 2.3 was issued, along with all the fixes for the problems mentioned above.
Pros: Bright display, camera performance, fast internet performance
Cons: poor reception, excessinve unnecessary software pre installed, slow sot-to-shot times
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The phone has a ton of cool features and apps, but the battery runs dry to fast to use them. I have tried every trick to save my battery life, but the phone can't hold a charge.
Pros: Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, battery life
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Well I've had nothing but trouble with this phone. I love it when it works right, however it rarely ever does. For example, I am in an area where I have 3G service, and I look down and suddenly have no signal, when I had full bars 2 seconds earlier. Almost everytime I turn it on it starts an alarm sound and will not stop until I make a call. I was just texting a friend and the entire phone shut down and would not reboot. When I finally got it to reboot it had erased EVERY SINGLE THING on my phone. I've lost all pics, vids, email accounts, everything. It went back to initial setup mode, and will not set up. I hope I get a replacement and it works better or this will be the first and LAST Samsung I will ever buy.
