Great phone - most of the time

I really like this phone when it is up and running. It has some pretty cool features and there are numerous free apps to download.
My complaints are that it will freeze on occasion for no apparent reason. It will try rebooting itself and so far, it usually comes back within 20 mins. or so. If this phone was named "Charge" because of the long lasting battery, that is not the case. The battery runs down very quickly if you use it even moderately. I would still recommend it if you are willing to pay the steep price.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: phone freezes and short battery life
I would recommend this to a friend!

From Original Droid to Droid Charge

Nice phone with features my original Droid lacked. Only wishes are a dual processor and a calculator app that can process more than one function at a time (2+2+2=6, vice 2+2=4+2=6). The extra keystrokes on the calc made me search for another. Can't debloat the pre-loaded apps. I don't need golf. Phone has been solid with good battery life.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, finally a delete all mail function!!
Cons: not dual processor
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great when working correctly; erratic performance

Useless without the extended battery, but no cases/holsters are available if you have the extended battery. 4G is very fast, but usually goes to 3G indoors.
Huge number of Android apps available. Good sized screen. Needs to be reset every few days; it seems like the memory cache gets hung, or something. Sometimes will not respond for up to 15 seconds.
Pros: fun
Cons: erratic performance
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good Phone

I have had my Samsung Charge for almost 2 months now and am very pleased. When I am in an area with 4G, the internet flies! I also wanted a phone I could use as a hotspot because with my job I often need my computer on the road. The display is great and I like the large screen especially when looking at maps or directions. Battery life is decent enough - like everything else, if you are using it to stream Pandora or other applications that use power, you will need to charge it more often. I just have a mobile charger in my car, and an extra power adapter at work so I can charge it when it needs it. My only complaint is that compared to other phones on the market, the Charge seems a bit large/heavy. I like the screen size so I can accept the large size of the camera, but do think it is a bit heavy.
Overall, I have been very happy with this phone and would still make the same choice. As 4G phones were still limited when I bought this one, new selections may make this phone less attractive, but at the time I purchased it (early June 2011), I felt this was the best choice. I would definitely recommend this phone.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color

Amazing!

I absolutely love my new Droid Charge by Samsung. It has amazing performance and the screen is absolutely beautiful. Netflix and the AMOLED screen is the perfect combination. For the internals and the screen, this phone has great battery life. Lasts ten times longer than the original Motorola Droid I began my android adventure with. The only trait I'm not fond of is that it seems to mimic the iPhone in too many ways.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, 4g lte, android
I would recommend this to a friend!

My First Droid

I switched from a Blackberry and so far I like this phone a lot more and I use it more. I found the BlackBerry hard to use mostly because of the small keyboards and my fat fingers. they also had a high learning curve - for me.
The Droid Charge has been much more easy to set up and use. I've only had it for about 2 weeks so I'm still getting to know it. So far ,its a big improvement. My favorite app so far is Google maps. I've replaced my on-board navigation in my Prius with my phone. Google maps shows actual pictures of where I'm going all along the route. Its like having a video cam strapped to the roof of the car. I love it, it even shows what lane I should be in when approaching an intersection or exit on a highway.
On the minus side the battery could be improved and I'm having some trouble getting it to sync with my home wireless network, but that is probably my fault as I'm not the most astute fellow when it comes to computers.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: battery
