After several VERY FRUSTRATING months of Thunderbolt ownership, I switched to the Charge. Best move ever! Great reception even in the remote woods of northern Wisconsin. NO rebooting issues, no dropped calls, and blazing fast 4G when available. Only draw back---the darn notification sound when the battery is fully charged.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Overall this phone is very nice. The batterylife is short as expected. I am springing for the extended battery today.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color

Problem with software

The way this phone connects to the 4g network and then handing off to 3g when necessary needs refinement. When watching a movie or listening to music, the data just simply goes away!. Maybe it will come back 3-5 minutes later or you have to reboot the phone. Definately a bug!
All in all, its a very nice device. It has all of the features and more that i would ever want. I wish samsung did not tweak with the platform and kept it the same Android 2.2 but other than that and the GIANT cost its a pretty good phone.
This is my first Droid phone, coming from a terrible Blackberry. I'm having a lot of fun with this, but do find a few minor shortcomings, both functional and aesthetic. For example, I HATE the boot-up. Some of us aren't gamers, we're professionals and use this in a workplace, and to have the silly DROID voice followed by that ridiculous crashing. At some point, there should be an option added to just turn off sound for start-up and boot-down. PLEASE . . .
Also, it seems that the Droid OS doesn't support porting over categories (groups) from a PIM, so the app I bought to update my stuff from my PC's Outlook can't port over the categories/groups set up in Outlook, even if I create the same-named groups on the Droid that I have and then bring the contacts over.
On the subject of contacts, how do you set a contact to display or sort by a particular field? If I have a person at a company, how do I tell it to sort/display by the company and not the person's name?
But the phone is a lot of fun. They just need to keep working on the OS and clean it up a bit (especially for us "serious" business users!)
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: os is not quite there
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
