this is my first droid and it works great the only thing i have found I do not like about it is the battery life and you have to reboot it every now and then.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: battery life
I would recommend this to a friend!

If you live in a 4G area this phone is the best on the market today. If you do not live in a 4G then this phone has some mighty competitors... The Hotspot feature is convenient when you need access and no other access is available. There is one bug related to the hotspot that causes the Bluetooth to stop working and can be a little bit of a pain to reset, but other than that this is a great phone.

I just upgraded from a Droid X2 to the Charge and I love it. So far everything seems to run smoother. The only thing I'd change is the plastic feel of the back. My X was so durable so I'd add the rubberized coating to this one if it was an option. Great phone!

Outstanding smart phone with weird quirks

I love this phone. Light, stylish, and an eye-popping screen. Photographs and videos look simply amazing on this device. Best phone on the market right now, hands down. HOWEVER, there are some quirks, some of which are pretty irritating, listed in order of annoyance. I hope the developers are reading this...
1. How do I kill that infernal boot animation??? Try rebooting this phone in a quite meeting if you want to appreciate the meaning of embarrassment.
2. Icons will only rotate to landscape mode when in a charging dock, otherwise remaining in portrait mode regardless of phone orientation. Really annoying.
3. When charging in car dock, it overeats and shuts off the charger, reverting to non-dock mode. See #2.
4. Inbound calendar invites don’t show event details (date, time). This is absurd.
5. There is a sharp ridge that presses on your ear when using the phone. On the other hand, you should not hold any phone against your ear due to EM radiation, so maybe this is a safety feature.
6. The fabulous screen is a tad over-saturated in some applications, like games (e.g., Bejeweled), but never to the point of annoyance. Maybe some way of adjusting display mode, like you see on TV's?

Pros: Bright display, Durable, Lightweight, nice feel in the hands.
Cons: loud annoying boot animation., landscape icons only in docked mode, overheating in car dock

Only major con is that you have to recharge a lot. They need to work on getting more life out of the batterys. Also the voice quality is just okay. Otherwise, a really nice phone with a great display.

I am thrilled with this phone but....I have a few concerns. Overall, it's awesome. The battery life is brutal ....get a back up batter for sure. I have the external one...works good.

I love my new Charge, but, it randomly goes into "car mode" and after doing considerable research, it appears that there is no way to stop this. I have downloaded and used "Dock Blocker" which has helped some,
Hopefully Samsung will address this problem with some sort of bug fix.
This is the only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars.

The clarity of the screen compared to those of other phones that I've used both for my work and personally is great with this model. the screen size is outstanding as far as I'm concerned; my wife likes it as well.
The only fault I have found since I've had this phone is that the location of the volume button. I find that the volume is always changing when I'm using one of the app's.
