I really liked this phone in a lot of ways BUT when you can't make a call without the worry of it dropping or the worry of the next call having a screeching sound that literally makes you want to drop the phone why have it. The internet drops constantly. They had a great concept with the style the screen and its basic functions and look but when you are using it for the purpose you bought a phone for......to make a call it would rank a 0. You really need to fix these issues before you sell anymore and hurt your name in the industry. The Verizon website has hundreds of complaints on it.
Cons: Did not meet expectations, horrible on calls, drops internet and phone connection randomly
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Battery Life is Horrible, and phone freezes and produces "fax machine" noises on calls

I had my Blackberry for nearly 4 years... that's right FOUR. I was holding out for something that fulfilled all my mobile phone desires. While the BB wasn't fast, didn't have lots of fun apps, and lacked all the latest gadgets, it was reliable, tough, dependable, etc. When it started freezing up, I knew it was time to bite the bullet. My boyfriend had an iPhone, and I wasn't impressed. Neither were the Verizon salespeople. This wasn't the first time I had gone in intending to upgrade... but the 3rd. On previous visits, I almost walked out with a Samsung, another time an HTC Thuderbolt. But when the time came, I was sold on the Charge, Largely because of the battery specs compared to other Droids. On paper, they blow them out of the water. In real life, they are worse than horrible. I use every battery saving method I know of, including disabling moving backgrounds, auto adjust brightness, etc. I don't run the GPS or wifi unless I need it. Even with all of this, just texting and a few Google searches, and MAYBE a short call (who actually uses their phone to talk anymore?) and I can get MAX 6 hours out of my phone, typically more like 4. A HUGE disappointment. My Blackberry, which I used similarly, lasted the whole day and then some...easily. In addition, there are 2-3 times weekly, sometimes several times in a day, in which I have to restart the phone because on a call, suddenly I hear what sounds like a fax transmission. Annoying when on an important call. At least it reboots relatively quickly, but there are also times in which it just freezes up and a restart isn't an option. These are annoying, but my major complaint is the battery life. The phone is fast, user friendly, and fun. But none of that makes a difference if it's dead in 4 hours. I will be in NYC for the first time in less than 2 weeks and had intended on using this phone as my tour guide. But with the need of GPS and Google, I fear I will be stranded in an unknown Subway terminal with no way to contact anyone or use my GPS :(
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, lots of memory
Cons: Too big, Did not meet expectations, battery life, not dependable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Brilliant Screen, Unique and Set Apart

This is my first smart phone by Samsung and I got it for one reason. The screen and the camera. The screen is so amazingly vibrant and sharp with the best contrast I have ever seen. Although a lot of people dis the exterior design, I personally appreciate it...because it doesn't fit the mold...and the actual buttons are surprisingly refreshing. The camera takes really good pictures, not mind blowing but they are better than the majority of cameras. There are a few downfalls of course. The "TouchWiz" UI on this specific phone is the UGLIEST version of "TouchWiz" I have ever scene in my entire life! I am a graphic designer and photographer and I don't know what possesed them to go with orange, yellow, and brown as the main colors of the phone. This is not the 70's. The icons look like a children's toy maker designed them...it just isn't very "Sumsungy". Normally they create sharp, sophisticated, cutting edge products...."Touchwiz" is not one of them. I am also completely CONVINCED that "TouchWiz" is the reason the phone can be lagged and slow. Also the back of the phone is quite flimsy and scratches easily.
Unfortunately BECAUSE of TouchWiz I would not recommend this phone to a friend...and that's it....but if I did it over again...I still would buy it myself.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, sharp, unique design, good camera, android os
Cons: Did not meet expectations, pricey, touchwiz ui, lag because of touchwiz, cheap back
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I would love this phone if they would fix the quirky issues that make it more problen then benefit to use. GPS many times will not turn on for up to 10 minutes. the screen goes dim and bright, dim and bright, dim and bright and will not allow input when putting in voicemail passwords. Phone sometimes gets hot and drains the battery quickly.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, poor it fix times

Charge is good, but no update makes it worthless.

While this phone works very well, It seems like a complete waste of money considering that it is now two updates behind on Android software.
Interestingly Apple is still updating phones twice as old as the charge.
