Breathesmart Hepa fresh plus

These filters have 3 lbs of carbon and do a great job of removing VOCs from the air but they do seem to cause more resistance to air flow through the machine, making it work harder. It is definitely louder with these filters than with the standard HEPA filter and I think it may cause premature failure of the machine. Fortunately Allen has always replaced the units when they fail so it has been no more than a small inconvenience to me.

Quality of air in my home is much improved!

We have a 3200 sq. ft. house and I was not able to re-order filters for a period of time. We have 2 Breathsmart units and 1 Paralda.
Within 6-ish hours of putting in the replacement filters my house smelled (didn't smell!!) just like it used to! It really reminded me of how much I enjoy having these in my home and breathing clean air!!!!

Filter Works Well But Has a Slight Filter Odor

I like the Breathesmart units and how they respond to the needs of environment. I also like that I can use a filter that filters both small particles as well as VOCs. However, there is a slight odor itself to the whatever is in the filter that absorbs the VOCs. It’s not offensive to me, but noticeable.
