A high quality printer

We have been using this printer for over two years and love it. It is durable, efficient, and has excellent print quality. It will print anything from a brochure to a basketball roster to a letter or from printing jobs up to 5,000 pages. It even allows one to track the amount of ink use on each print job to estimate the cost of printing the document.
Xerox customer support and technical support has been fantastic with every question and problem that we have encountered.
I highly recommend this printer!

The ColorQube 8570 is an environmental friendly printer that uses solid ink technology. The ColorQube prints high print quality images that are consistent as well as easy to use with no hassle maintenance. The colors are bright and exceptional.

Great Color Printer

I am a technology coordinator for a school district and have had great success with xerox printers in the past so when it was time to replace a couple of our color printers i decided to give the 8570 a try. We have been using them over a year now and have had no problems at all. Everybody loves the print quality and the fact that they don't leave messy toner everywhere. Our Graphics Arts department uses it to preview the Yearbook and loves the qualtiy it produces. I would highly recommend this printer.

At times, the printer does not print unless unplugged and plugged in again. A code says the ink tray needs emptying though it is empty. The color and sharp quality of the printed image exceeds that of any other printers I have used.

Nice but expensive to use

After working in an office with these printers for a year I was overwhelmed by the quality of the print on cheap paper and the performance so I bought one to replace my Phaser 6100 which I had been happy with without issue for many years until it started mis-feeding with old age.
The 8570 is very reasonably priced, and when I bought it the ink was not too expensive either, but ten months later I needed my first batch of replacement ink and the price had doubled to more than the cost of a new 8570 (nearly double!) for a full set. I only realised this once I had bought the ink.
The real problem came two weeks after the guarantee had expired when following a power outage it would not start up with an error indicating that the print head had failed making the printer a write off - Xerox want more than the cost of a new printer to just replace the printhead.
I was hoping for a printer that would give me good quallity print for a few years, but I am now having to look for a replacement. I am looking for a secondhand one now.
The quality of print was superb for everything I do (unless laminating - the ink melts and smears) but I have to look at over 10p per page in depreciation costs! I really liked using the printer and so wish I could be more positive about it but it is a luxury item when overall cost of ownership is considered. I will cherish the last three pages I printed which are as good as the day I bought it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I use it at my home to do a lot of printing for my office.. It has been a pleasure to use and requires very little maintance . Great print quality.

I have been using solid ink Xerox printers for 12 years. They are the nicest, most trouble free printer I know. The ink cubes and the maintenance kits are a little pricy but they last longer than color ink jet tonner and cartages. We have fewer paper jams and the color is richer than with other printers. These printer seem to be very reliable and require little maintenance. I would recommend Xerox Color Cube printer to anyone that wants to make a striking color appearance.
The only draw back is the printed pages can not be laminated with heat and older printers (12 or more years) the internal plastic parts become brittle from the heat and brake easily.
