This a very high quilty all-in-printer I hope you enjoy your printer half as much as I do mine.I have tried alot of all-in-one printers but it is the all time best one that I have owned.

My new printer is good, but whats with the fact that Canon announced support for air-print but this model doesn't have it?
Pros: easysetup, great price
Cons: not true airprint

Printing Black ONLY uses Color Cartridges also.

I find the printer is very good, (although scanning to my PC Only works if i tell it to scan as an attachment to an email (pdf)). But the worst is it uses ALL of the color cartridges even if you ask the printer to print in Grayscale
Pros: reliable, Small Footprint, fast print speed
Cons: Difficult to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is my 3rd or 4th Cannon. I have not had any issues with it and use it everyday for home, business and school kids. My last one the roller finally wore out which is normal for heavy use on a non-industrial type product. For the cost and the amount of use I get out of it I would replace it with yet another Cannon when that time comes.
Pros: reliable, Easy Setup, durable, High Quality Output
Cons: Flimsy Construction
I would recommend this to a friend!

Difficult software access
on October 23, 2013
Posted by: Anonymous
The printer works well. No downside, nothing exceptional. It prints well like most other printers. I do recommend keeping easy access to the software and driver disc(s). I misplaced mine. As I just had a new hard drive installed on my computer, it has been very difficult and very time comsuming downloading the drivers and software from the Canon site. Ten plus hours of down-load time (and yes I have a fast internet connection).
Pros: reliable, easy to use
Cons: difficult re-install of software and drivers

This a great printer that does it all. It set up easily on our wireless network, and works well with a PC and a Mac. The copies and print material are crisp and neat. The fax is very easy to operate. Canon got it all just right on this model.
Pros: reliable, Easy Setup, Sharp Tones & Colors, fast print speed, easy to use
Cons: Large Footprint

Short use life
on October 7, 2013

For the short time I had this machine, I was satisfied with its performance and quality. However, it does burn through ink cartridges. It's life (use) span is very short and the logic board will burn out on you in less than two years...just enough time for the warranty to expire. If you buy this machine, do so at your own peril. When I replace equipment, I want to replace it because something better arrived on the market, not because the machine's electronics are unreliable.
Pros: Easy Setup, durable, High Quality Output, fast print speed, easy to use
Cons: Large Footprint, unreliable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fantastic Purchase

This Canon all-in-one is the first purchase I have ever made of canon printing/scanning/fax/copy products and will NOT be my last! I amazed myself that I was able to set it up without any difficulty. The unit is very quiet, the colors are crisp and functionality is very user friendly. Super quality at a very reasonable price!
Pros: Easy Setup, durable, Sharp Tones & Colors, easy to use
I would recommend this to a friend!
