Canon Does It Again!

Let me start by saying that I am a big fan of Canon inkjst color printers. I have owned several, and each one does a little more than the next. Print quality of photos (on photo paper) is great. This is a pretty model - sleek and black. I just installed it and it works great. Tested all its wireless print capabilities from my notebook as well as smartphone and both work well. A few reviews mentioned difficulty with the installation - I'm running Win7 and had no problems but I agree the manual should be a little more detailed. I was able to install a phone app to print from the phone no problem, but the manual isn't very informative about it. Standard print speed is very good; duplex printing is an added plus. One thing I'd mention is that when printing via your smartphone you should edit/crop your photo beforehand. Overall this is a terrific product.

Cons: cold use better manual

As good as I expected

Today I packed my Canon MP-780 away. It was like saying goodbye to an old friend. I can't imagine how many photos, and printed pages it has produced but in the years that I had it the usage was daily.
I unpacked my Canon MX-882 and what a beauty it is. For those reviewers who said it was large and heavy I have personally confirmed that to be the truth. As as I fully expected the setup of the new printer was straight forward and without complications. Of course I read and followed the "Getting Started" instructions and that was a great advantage. Windows 7 and Canon recognized each other and my wireless network was functioning in a matter of minutes.
With the advent of retail stores that print photos for a fraction of the price that I can print them at home I rarely use my home printer for photos. The full duplex printing works smoothly and saves paper.Scanning and faxing are easy ot configure and use.
Once again my faith in Canon has been justified. And no, I don't and never have worked for Canon.
Pros: reliable, Easy Setup, durable, easy to use

Real work horse of a printer

Works great, pictures in high res, or faxing documents. Pretty good on ink usage also. Great multi-function printer for the money. My only complaint is it is a deep footprint for an inkjet, so it takes up quite a bit of desk space, (even bigger than my laserjet), but other than that, no worries.
Pros: fast

Blah...not impressed

I've had this printer for over 2 years, and it's a hassle more than 1/2 the time. I'm pretty techy, and this printer is very buggy. It takes a VERY long time to re-set itself, which is often, and it uses so much ink. There must be ink in all tanks in order to print, even if you only want to use the black cartridge. I'm sure there are better printers out there, even made by Canon. Hoping this one breaks soon...

Cons: unreliable, uses too much ink

Excellent Printer for the Price!!

Excellent printer! Easy to set up for multiple computers! Set for both a PC and MAC flawless thru WIFI. Print, copy, fax and scan features are great! Still have to print out pictures, but with i've done with it so far it's everything I need. Love all the additional software for scanning and Canon project website is great! No regrets!
Pros: reliable, Compact Design, Easy Setup, durable, Sharp Tones & Colors, easy to use
Cons: Slow Print Speed

Best Printer I've owned.

Love this printer! I've used this printer for 2 1/2 months and it is the best printer I've ever owned. All the funtions are so easy to use and the print quality is excellent. I'm really happy that this printer is an ink miser and ink cartidges are very resonably priced and available in local stores.
I'm so sold on this printer I will be buying another for our vacation condo.

Slower than Expected

I was excited to purchase my Canon printer, however, was disappointed with the speed. It is good for other features such as, scanning and faxing...but speed and quality were very important for me. I am not sure if its Canon that has a slow product or that I purchased a slow printer. Another point is that the ink runs out fast. It's disappointing to be nervous each time I print using my Wi-Fi connection, not knowing if there's ink in the cartdridges or not.
Pros: High Quality Output, nice looking product
Cons: Slow Print Speed, Difficult Setup, Flimsy Construction
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I like my printer from Canon the Mx882 is great. It is easy to use and I love the wireless. It does everything and makes great photo prints can't say enough good things about it.
