not canons best

This printer has many functions but Canon has decided to take some choices out of the hands of the customers, like manual switching for the paper feeding from front to rear, no edge to edge printing or borderless printing; which for some printing work is needed and or liked by many customers .This is something that should be printed on the box and not found out after purchase.Very disappointed!
Pros: Compact Design, Easy Setup, easy to use
Cons: flimsy paper tray
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Mostly Satisfied

Only had printer for two weeks and I am mostly satisfied. The thing I am having a problem with is that the printer will not "Air Print" from my iPad. Had I checked this out prior to purchase, I more than likely would not have purchased the MX882. I think Canon dropped the ball.
I would recommend this to a friend!

SLOWEST canon yet!!

I've used Canon Printers for years, but this will be my last.
The Reason? It's so SLOOOWWWW.. At time I literally wait over 60 seconds for the printer to even start printing. No this is not right after the printer is turned on. It can print one page then make you wait another minute to print the next page.
Canon if you have a solution to this, then let me know and do not delete this review. Could it be my system? Highly doubt it. I have a top of the line system, super fast CPU (i7), 8gigs of ram, etc.etc.etc... Come to think of it my Old Canon i9900 did them same thing.... If Canon could fix this, I would give it a higher rating. But it does go through ink FAST...
Pros: easy to use
Cons: Slow Print Speed, Large Footprint, Heavy/Bulky, High Ink Consumption
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not entirely satisfied

IMO
2nd attempt to review this.
The pages print out with the last page on top, so one has to re organize/ re collate entire document. This is NOT good very impractical for when printing long documents. Unable to reverse the order so 1st page is on top as technician suggested.
I bought the printer as it also had an automatic doc feeder and when using this to copy 5 pages some papers went through all together so I had to re copy pages each separately. This is not good at all when sending faxes and copying using a dfeeder.
It is early days but early enough to return. I am very disappointed about those 2 important features mentioned..
Not sure what I will do.
I am sure it prints photos great, but for docs and basics I am not sure. I am disappointed as I like other features and I had hoped it would be great for everything.
Pros: easy to use
Cons: High Ink Consumption, document feeder does not feed each page separeatel, not practical as prints docs with last page on top
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I use this for a home office. It has a fax/scanner and prints well, it has some quirks.
Scanning, it seems to fail to keep the scan docs plumb to the scan.
As to faxing, if you use land line with a portable phone. The main line into the system has to connect the portable phone, otherwise it does not pick up the scan.

Very disappointed!! Have used this printer for several years and it has been nothing but problems. Stops printing then you have to set up wireless printing again which only lasts a short time and then it stops printing again. At this time it wants to send a fax when I want it to print. I have never sent a fax so I do not understand why it is going to a fax setting. Printer diagnosis and repair is useless.
Cons: i just want it to print!
