Great little addition

We just re-upped our Netflix (Winter usually finds us with little to watch). We were watching movies on our laptop, as well as receiving the disks in the mail. We found reviews about this Roku and how we can stream directly to the TV. I did quite a bit of research to find this to be the best option for our set up. It arrived 3 days after ordering and was set up in 10m. We love it -- catching up on tv series episodes and watching some of our favorite movies with our kids. This is amazingly easy to operate and has been a nice little addition to our family room.
Pros: Compact, High quality picture, Built in Wi-Fi, Easy to use, Reliability, Easy to set up

WE USE THIS PRODUCT VERY OFTEN AND HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE PERFORMANCE AT ALL. IT IS EXACTLY WHAT WE WANTED AFTER WE HARD WIRED IT TO THE MODUM AS I COULD NOT GET THE WIRELESS TO FUNCTION DUE TO MY SERVICE. I CALLED YOUR HELP LINE AND THE YOUNG MAN HELPED ME GET IT INSTALLED AND SUGGESTED THAT HE HAD HIS WIRED THAT WAY SO I DID THE SAME THING AND ARE VERY PLEASED.THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

I absolutely adore my Roku XD. I brag about it to everyone; friends, family, classmates and co-workers. My only issue with it is that the wi-fi connection isn't very reliable. Since I have an xbox 360 and can stream Netflix movies though it, I purchased the Roku for my bedroom. I live in a small 1 bedroom apartment and my wireless router is in my living room. Most times the Roku XD will pick up the signal, but alot of times it will lose that signal, say it can't connect to my local network or can't connect to the internet. This has happened to me while in the middle of watching a movie. I have even gone as far as reconnecting the router directly in front of my Roku device and it will still give me those same error messages. It's a tad bit frustrating because my Roku and Netflix account is my only source of home entertainment since dumping cable tv. At first I thought it was a good idea. Now I'm not so sure. All and all, I'm not sorry I purchased it and when it works, I'm overjoyed.

Cons: Want more video choices, Inconsistent performance

Even I could set it up. Really user friendly. I wish there was a way to stream anything I wanted. Overall I am very pleased. I love having Pandora and Net flix. Seems like redunancy on the TV products

For the price and size, this is a hot deal. There's more than enough channels of entertainment to enjoy every day - movies, tv series, videos, music, classes, games, etc., etc. I can't recommend ROKU enough!
