I wanted a low cost option to get content to my tv from the Net. I wanted a option that did not require direct access to cable or satellite systems. This works great with my DSL connection. Looking forward to more channels in the future.
Pros: Built in Wi-Fi, Video selection, Easy to use, Great value, Compact, High quality picture, Reliability, Easy to set up
Cons: Want more video choices

Use it in a bedroom 50 feet from Netgear wireless N router, streams Netflix HD very well.
Pros: Built in Wi-Fi, Easy to set up, Easy to use, Great value, High quality picture

I was looking to get streaming video through my computer to my TV when I found ROKU on the Net. It is perfect for my wants and does everything I expected and wanted.(except closed captions,lol) I can use my computer and watch TV. I won't be without ROKU again. Thanks for this product.

Roku assumes that I know anything about wireless. My XD player is wired in, sooo how do I use the wireless ?
Pros: Pandora, Video selection, High quality picture, Reliability, Easy to use, Compact, Future lineup additions, Easy to set up

I have had my eyes on this for a while since the original model. After seeing the great reviews for the newer smaller ones and price I got the XD for my bedroom for netflix and a few other video options such as revision3 and vimeo. The player worked great and setup was easy using my wifi. I had network issues in the beginning but after adding a wifi repeater i have had great performance followed with great picture quality.
