We love our new ROKU

Seldom want to rent a CD anymore.
Pros: Easy to use, Compact, Easy to set up, Great value, Video selection, High quality picture, Built in Wi-Fi, Reliability
Cons: Would like subtitles

We absolutely love the freedom the Roku has given us. We can watch a wide variety of favorite shows without ads and at the time convenient to us. Some of us are not technologically swift, but are able to handle this equipment easily! It is great to have control over what we watch and when we watch it, as well as being able to pause it at will. What a great invention!

I am a huge fan of movies and documentaries. For me to watch half the movies I do on my Roku box would cost at least $100 per month if I had cable. This, combined with a Netflix account is by far the best value in home entertainment, period.
Pros: Great value, Compact, Built in Wi-Fi, Reliability, Easy to use, High quality picture
Cons: Auto setup has glitches

Good but need more instant video choices

I read the reviews before purchase, so made sure I used Ethernet not wireless for Roku. Works great. To search Netflix titles I found it's much quicker to search and select movies on my laptop than on the Roku, and those selected easily play on the Roku.
Pros: Reliability, Instant replay, Easy to use, Easy to set up
Cons: Clunky search feature, No youtube access, Want more video choices

I think this is a great product. The only problem I have is when the player is updating while I am watching a program. It cannot update and play content at the same time.

I have been a Netflix subscriber for some time, and we use a PS3 in the living room for Netflix streaming. I added the Roku XD in the bedroom, and it works fantastically. It's very small, easy to set up, and is always on -- no boot time required. Highly recommended.

Simple to set up & use. Decent image quality. Use of own music inconsistent/difficult.

Way Better Than I thought!

I was trying to use Sony's streaming video which is very poor. Thought maybe Netflix was to blame also. Hooked up the Roku and havn't had a problem yet. Movies hook up and no more freezing pictures, and on top of that even a better picture. So easy to use and install, just a very good unit.
