Amazingly easy setup

This really could not have been any easier to setup and use, I was watching online content inside of 5 minutes. Excellent quality with the HDMI interface.
Pros: Compact, Built in Wi-Fi, Reliability, Great value, High quality picture, Video selection, Easy to use, Easy to set up

Love this little Black Box

My wife gave me a little grief at first about purchasing the Roku XD, now she's the primary user. The only issue I have with this product is that you have to point the remote directly and level with the box in order for it to receive the remote command/signal.
Pros: Compact, Built in Wi-Fi, Easy to use, Easy to set up, Great value
Cons: RemoteReceiver interface

I canceled my satellite television service over a year ago and would watch hulu and netflix through my computer. It was useful and certainly works but I enjoy using a more tv-friendly user interface rather than the computer OS. We use this just about every day. There are only two things on my wishlist with the Roku player: 1. Rhapsody Music so I can listen to my playlists and 2. That some of Hulu's partners would allow all of their programming on the great service. This is so easy my 4-year-old son can easily navigate and with 2 subscriptions my total tv-related entertainment bill comes to $18/month rather than $70+ per month. You can't beat that!

Cons: Want more video choices

Better than dish/cable.

We dumped the high cost of dish network and heard about the Roku from a neighbor. It was a great choice for entertainment. My wife and I really like the Pandora after we subscribed to it. We have music playing quite often and it is without comercials.
Pros: High quality picture, Easy to use, Built in Wi-Fi, Easy to set up, Compact
Cons: Want more video choices

The Roku XD player is an impressive piece of technology. It's small footprint and all black color make it disappear nicely into my entertainment furniture. It's real easy to setup and easy to use. The video and audio quality is excellent. Feels like you are watching a DVD. The remote control is well designed and fits comfortably in your hand. I was able to replace a cable movie channel with a Roku XD Player combined with a Netflix subscription. The money I am saving on my cable bill will pay for the Roku box in about 16 months, and I now have a much better selection of content to watch.

now use just for instant netflix. thought hulu plus would let me watch shows I watch on computer but most aren't choices
