Why change what works? Lacks outputs!

I loved my first Roku HD box, the old N1000. It did everything I wanted and had great wireless range. This new one...not so much. It wouldn't connect well enough in the living room to get through setup, so I had to set it up on a TV much closer to my N router and THEN move it back to the living room. It's working okay there, but not as well as my old one. Another drawback is the lack of component outputs and digital audio outputs. My HDTV has only two HDMI inputs (which I used for my settop box and my Blu-Ray player). I was using component for my Roku. That wasn't an option with the new slimmer box. Also, the lack of an optical audio output precludes me from connecting it to my surround sound system. What were you thinking, Roku? I see why these boxes are cheaper. They lack features.
Pros: High quality picture, Easy to set up, Great value, Built in Wi-Fi, Easy to use
Cons: No audio outputs, Had to move to setup, No component outputs, Lacks wireless range

I don't understand why the movies and shows skip or stop unexpectedly. Sometimes it happens so often I stop watching.

I had a hard time setting this up. When I contacted customer service I was on with them for over an hour and the service was terrible. I will be returning this product.

Outstanding Product Performance

When I was directed to the Roku set-up link, it was a 1,2,3 set-up. Just that fast and that easy. It was also easy to marry up Netflix and Amazon so there is a wide variety of entertainment, not to mention, all the free sites.

Who needs cable?

We bought a Roku box about two years ago for our vacation home. Roku permited us to have basic cable and watch movies and cable series. It worked so well and was easy we bought a box for our primary home and television even though we get about every cable channel known to man. It is still convenient to watch movies with Roku.
Pros: Video selection, Compact, Built in Wi-Fi, Easy to use, Great value, Reliability, Easy to set up

I don't watch that much TV, but I got a satellite dish plan two years ago when all TV went digital. I have barely watched TV with anything but my Roku since I got it about two months ago. I'll be canceling my subscription to my sat. TV service as soon as the contract is up! I bought my Roku so that I could subscribe to Netflix, but I had no idea there were so many other services accessible through the Roku device as well. There are music channels, news, classic TV and movies, as well as religious broadcasting. A lot of the channels are free, but premium services (like Netflix and similar services) are available for a small charge (far less costly than cable or satellite TV). Roku is easy to set-up and use, and it works very well. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Thanks for making such a great product! I would highly recommend it.
