The Roku Player's Channel Store has quality entertainment. The CDN2 Channel has College Courses from Yale, Southwest Missouri State, Dallas Theological Seminary, and more. A must for home schoolers. The Mobiletribe channel allows viewing of YouTube on your T.V. We love Gospel Music and the music videos on YouTube.
Pros: Great value, Built in Wi-Fi, Reliability, Compact, Easy to use, High quality picture, Video selection, Easy to set up, Great Educational Benefit

the best thing since sliced bread

i received ruko @ 10 am. was watching movies all day & nite. I needed your help to set it up on my 12 year old rear projection tv. It's the best since slicd bread. I already recommended to a few friends.

The wide variety of channels it offers is amazing.
Pros: Reliability, Video selection, Easy to use, Compact, Great value, Easy to set up, Built in Wi-Fi, High quality picture
Cons: No subtitles

Wow - who knew?

This is an amazing little piece of technology. I ditched cable programming due to the large volume of reality tv garbage they force feed us today and needed an alternative. I tried a digital antenna for local stations but the quality was horrible. So I took a chance and got my Roku. I do not even have the newest high speed N router - but it does not matter. This thing streams content flawlessly. Everyone should invest in this if you like movies!

Pros and Cons of Roku XD

I purchased two Roku XD players. One for my husband to use while on his treadmill and one for our bedroom. We have 6 Mbps DSL internet and an N- wireless router. The treadmill Roku I hooked directly to the internet with an ethernet cord plugged into my router. The Roku in my bedroom I set up to run wirelessly. Unfortunately the reception of the signal was unreliable even though it was only 50 feet from the router. The TV is in the corner of the bedroom but I really thought the signal would reach. I actually started out with a G-router and upgraded to the N in the hopes that the boost in signal would help. It didn't and Netflix movies would stop and reload while we were watching them. Pandora radio would play a song and stop partway through and start it over. It was very frustrating. My husband ended up running an ethernet cable through the attic and now we have our Roku wired through the router. It works great that way but I was disappointed it wouldn't work better wirelessly. If my husband wasn't willing and able to run that cable, the second Roku would have been useless to us.
Pros: Compact, Easy to use
Cons: Inconsistent performance

Just put a new 32" 1080p HD TV in the kitchen/dining area and the Roku XD works great with it! Picture looks amazing and I haven't even hooked up a HDMI cable yet! My wife loves watching past seasons of her favorite shows while she's baking. This is the second Roku I've bought. LOVE IT!

Great product instantly increased my NETFLIX enjoyment. If ROKU would offer HD Network content, and HD HBO/SHOWTIME/HOWARD STERN ON-DEMAND I'll cancel cable. ROKU would be ALL I need!
