No security in case of theft?

there should be some sort of security protection in case of theft of the box....eg. when connected to the internet it should be able to detect if the box was stolen or not. I have found that there is no theft procedure. Am i wrong? My smart TV was stolen along with the roku box, my VCR and DVD player remains. This is the new item to steal? Business for pawn shops, get it together Roku...
Cons: No theft deterant
