Excessive bandwidth requirements

Roku did not explain the extremely high bandwidth requirements necessary in order to use the product to view streaming HD video. Our region does not have sufficient bandwith and, as a result, I wasted my money.

Roku is amazing! It was easy to set up, it's easy to operate and the quality of the image could not be better. I am really enjoying my Roku.

Not what its cut out to be

I don't know whats wrong, but when I try to watch a movie or show, it keeps buffering. It is seldom, that I can watch a show or movie without the constant buffering.
Pros: Compact
Cons: Inconsistent performance

was choice between apple TV , google TV , and Roku , you were least expensive and 1080p - yet to see anything from netflix in 1080p

Good product but needs improvements

We mostly use this for Netflix Play Instantly, and it works pretty well for that. I am somewhat disappointed with the lack of much good free content, especially free Hulu. I do not watch much TV and do not really need a full Hulu Premium subscription. It's somewhat slow to respond to commands, although not terrible. I love not paying for cable TV I mostly never used. With Roku, you buy the equipment then get to choose what content to pay for, a much more consumer oriented way to do business. All in all, it is a good product and a good value, but could (and I suspect will) be improved.
Pros: Saves Money, Good tech support, Easy to use, High quality picture, Easy to set up, Reliability, Compact, Built in Wi-Fi
Cons: Inconsistent performance, Poor channel navigation, Needs more channels, Needs channel search, No onoff switch, Want more video choices, Needs better remote, Slow response, Needs free Hulu, Can't browse Netflix
