I received Roku as a Christmas gift a couple of years ago and it is like no other gift; it is a gift that keeps on giving. Initially when I installed it, Netflix was the only application that was available and since then on a regular basis I get notifications of new applications such as Pandora and [...] that have been added and which I now enjoy too!
Pros: Reliability, Easy to use, Great value, Video selection, High quality picture, Compact, Easy to set up

Although using in a bedroom, I had to set it up in my library near my computer and wireless router then transfer back to the bedroom which is on the opposite side of the house. Guess the signal was not strong enough for initial setup.Also, had to unplug my cordless phone initially.

We have used a Roku devices for over 18 months and have one on both of our TVs,we love them!! They are VERY easy to set up and work great, one of my units quit finding the wireless so I called technical service and they are replacing the unit. Their customer service is about the best I have ever dealt with for any kind of device or service.
Pros: Great value, Reliability, Easy to use, Compact, Easy to set up, High quality picture, Built in Wi-Fi, Video selection

Set up for getting Netflix, Amazon movies and maybe get Hulu .. Might drop all but basic cable in near future.. This was super easy to set up. I am Not a computer or tehcnology buff at all and I had zero problems with set up.. on screen instructions were clear , easy to folow . My wi fi worked great with it.. I do have hi speed internet.. I was watching a purchased on line movie in about seven minutes of starting set up of the device. Much easier than trying to set up a blu ray which I gave up on (wi fi really Not ready as stated on blu rays... need to spend more money !). Could not be more pleased at this time.. I can easily move this small simple device from the living room tv to the bedroom tv too. really cool..

Cons: Dont have one yet

Easy to Use

We bought this to watch Netflix. We were using the Wii (which worked fine till our son modded the Wii and ruined it for Netflix), but the Roku remote is much easier to use than the Wii remote. Set-up was fast and easy. We were up and running in minutes. The box is so small you hardly notice it and the light on the front is not too bright to be annoying when using the Roku next to your TV. We are running wireless with Apple Airport Express and works great.

I have 2 Roku xd machines and they both are constantly streaming videos and my 3.0 Mbps connection handels it very well!!

We bought it to watch Netflix movies. On our computer, streaming movies had always been jumpy and unsatisfying. Watching Netflix movies on Roku is similar to watching a DVD. Now we use Roku more than DVD, cable, and broadcast together.
Pros: Built in Wi-Fi, Easy to use, Compact, Video selection, Reliability, Good picture quality, High quality picture, Great value
Cons: Want more video choices
