It took very little time at all to install and get up and running and I am particularly delighted with the clarity of the image and just how easy it is to use.

Bad WiFi

The WiFi had interference issues. I returned the unit. Customer service was difficult to work with. Support only available on Pacific coast timeframe. I was very frustrated!!!

I canceled my cable service and have replaced it with Hulu Plus through my Roku XD player. I have basic DSL, so my internet isn't very fast, but I haven't had any problems with the video pausing in the middle to reload. It was extremely easy to set up and use. Picture quality is as good as HD from Comcast. I would definitely buy this again and have recomended it to my friends and family.

It Doesn't Get Any Easier Than This

Along with the majority of people we know we have downsized. We had Cable & Road Runner, Kept RR went To Dish, after contract tried Direct TV (don't do it). We finally ditched TWC & RR and went with DSL. Our regular DSL service runs circles around our former RR service. With DSL our service is fine, better than fine. We get 3 dots (out of 4) on our quality and are totally impressed with the picture. Better than TWC and Dish, not quite as good as Direct TV. But I am only getting three dots so perhaps 4 beats or equals Direct TV. We also use our DSL for internet phone and netflix. Netflix runs absolutely flawless. Comming from the land of every companies remote being bigger and more useless than the previous companies, it was refreshing to get a remote that fits your hand. Clear to the point an un-cluttered, gotta love that. The only negative is the IMO overhyped Hulu Plus. I bought the unit missunderstanding. I thought we could also get standard Hulu but you cannot. Hulu plus is not very good and hardly worth the charge, not to mention the shows we used to watch are not carried Burn notics, Royal Pains, and a couple other USA network shows. Netflix blows it off the map, so save your money and upgrade your Netflix acct. The weather and Music are awesome additions, and another cool feature is since having our unit several channels have been added.I see TV's are adding wireless service and that makes sense, but until that becomes the norm this is the answer in my opinnion. This thing is small, about the size of two pieces of bread stacked on top of one another. Our ROKU is one of the VERY few products we have bought in a long time that is actually worth it's cost. From ordering to opening the box, (the welcome page is a nice touch), Set up and operation this unit is fantastic. The availability of real time radar alone makes it more worthwhile than Dish.

I love, love, love my Roku!

I use the Roku to watch Hulu and Netflix. I like Hulu the best because I can watch an entire season of a particular TV program at my convenience. I love my Roku and I plan to buy one for my son's home. Sometimes the screen freezes but that is due to the high speed quality from my cable company. I hope Hulu will add more of the past and present popular TV series soon. I wish Netflix had a better movie search system. I have trouble thinking of movie titles to search for so if they had a better list then it would be easier to choose one I like. I love that Netflix has the Dexter series. If something happened to my Roku today, I would order another one tomorrow!When the contract I have with the cable company is up in December, I am going to drop everything from them except the basic service and save money because I can have a great variety of programs to watch with Hulu and Netflix on my Roku.

Very Difficult to Setup

Can't get the crazy thing to work. I'm pretty computer savvy and all my other wireless devices work great in my house. After 3 hours of chatting with Roku customer support, it still isn't working. Maybe I'll get it working and I'll love it...but for now it stinks!
