When there is nothing on the telly and nothing I've previously taped, there is always something interesting to watch on Roku. My only suggestion for making it better is to add ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 programmes for a week (or whatever) after they air.

This is the perfect alternative to high cost cable and satellite programming. I watch what I want and when I want. There are many channels available through Roku but I spend most of my viewing time between Netflix and Amazon channels. Get yourself the inexpensive Netflix and Amazon Prime memberships and you'll discover a deep well of movies and TV series available at your command. You also have the option through the Amazon channel to order the latest pay per view movies. Perfect for me. I'm not stuck on any of the current TV series programming so.... no big loss. Just finished watching 5 seasons of "Breaking Bad" through my Roku box via my Netflix subscription. With Roku you also get fantastic customer service. Take it from me - a 3 year Roku veteran. What an excellent alternative to cable/dish!

I have found out that you can have multiple Roku devices (mix or match models) on multiple TVs and can watch same show or other shows at the same time. So I bought another device. Great when kids and grandkids are visiting!
