We have cut the direct tv cord and are replacing it with Roku so far we vary happy with it. We three times the movie selection and vary good tv. Only thing missing is TV Land chanel I'm a big fan of Gun Smoke. Way to go Roku we are saving money and will not miss Derect TV.
Pros: Great value, Compact, Video selection, Reliability, Built in Wi-Fi, High quality picture, Easy to set up, Easy to use
I am 63 years old, on a fixed income with time on my hands. I love ROKU because I have continual entertainment at minimal cost. I have cable, but I don't watch it anymore because I prefer Roku with it's convenience and lack of commercials.I'll probably take back my cable box soon. The only reason I keep it is that my internet is on cable, and when it goes out, my Roku doesn't work, but cable does. Go figger. But bottom line...cable is now a back up plan. I prefer Roku. I love Roku but wish they would get more games and other interactive stuff. Like Second Life. Still.....of all the options available to me, ROKU is the best....the most economical, the most user friendly, and the easiest for an old fogey like myself to relate to.
Especially for my aging parents who want to watch only British comedies, WWWII, and adult TV/movies rated G or PG, with no advertisements, this is perfect!

I stream my movies and tv shows to my tv. There are a lot of choices for movies and church programs. It is very easy for this gramma to use. I use it most days. The remote is easy to use.
