We are thrilled that Roku is available. We don't have game consoles or cable and Roku is affordable and allows us to have some TV entertainment without struggling with internet shows/movies and paying high cable prices.
Pros: Great value, Built in Wi-Fi, Easy to use, Reliability, High quality picture, Easy to set up, Compact
Cons: Need fast internet service, Want more video choices
Was able to see a series from the beginning that I discovered in it's second season. Saving $20 a month by dropping unwatched movie channels from cable.
Pros: Easy to use, Easy to set up, Video selection, Built in Wi-Fi, Compact
When there is nothing to watch on the normal TV channels, I can always find something to watch on one of the Roku channels. It would be nice to have some newer films--the only one I found that I thought was recent was "Salmon Fishing in the Yemen" which I saw in the cinema and was great. Too many horror films for my liking.
Pros: Easy to use, Easy to set up, Compact, Great value, High quality picture
This is a good product and very easy to use. It did not get a 5-star rating from me because of the poor selection of content for Canadian subscribers, in addition to the poor interface for Netflix (which also lacks ability to choose user profile). I would recommend the device, with the caveat that you have to use a US account to access better content.
Pros: Built in Wi-Fi, Easy to use, Reliability, Compact, Easy to set up
Cons: Poor Netflix interface, Poor Content For Canada, Want more video choices, No Parental Controls
