Gives me more control over time and content of TV viewing. The pricing is attractive as well. I pay for what I want and am not paying for the huge amount of unwanted programming provided by cable and satellite. The restrictions on viewing cable news are irksome - one has to subscribe to cable/satellite in order to view their content via Roku channel. I'd gladly pay a fee to be able to get the stations I want, but I don't want to subscribe to cable/satellite in general.

This is great..But could be hard for seniors...The remote kept on failing.....I found answer on internet....when it fails you must cut power to Roku and remove batteries from remote...put batteries back in and push that small button next to battery...got that from internet...Oh yes reconnect roku before pushing button....

The unit arrived several days before promise date, installed in about 15 minutes, once I got the registration stuff completed. Love it.! Obviously hope for more and more stations to be available, which will certainly happen...just look at "Apps" !! I'm using it to supplement a recently trimmed cable package, and it's certainly filling that void. I'd of course like to see YouTube, as well as maybe a music video channel ? Also would like a more comprehensive channel listing with "private" channels as well, so I can peruse :-))
