Not worth the problems

I used to use this product daily, and before I bought my own Roku I had borrowed my roommates. I LOVED my roommates Roku player so much, that I decided to buy my own. I never had a problem on my roommates Roku, it was fast and easily picked up the internet. After I purchased my own, I have had nothing but problems. At first I thought it was my internet provider, but my roommate was having no problems with her older model, so I just let it go. After I moved in with my husband, I was hoping the problems would have gone away with the new house, new internet, etc. My Roku continues to drop my internet, and then will not connect. I have spent hours and hours reconfiguring it with the router and trying to diagnose any kind of problem it might be. These players are NOT worth the trouble. I am extremely disappointed, because I used to highly recommend them, but consumers are better off buying an XBox or Wii for their Netflix and other app needs.
Cons: Inconsistent performance
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the iOS remote!

If I could get the whole interface on my iOS device instead of using it as a remote to navigate on the screen, I think that would be amazing. Touch and swipe would be a great way to navigate. I'm a heavy Netflix and Pandora user. I tried out other channels early on, but they're hit and miss.
Pros: Easy to use, Built in Wi-Fi, Compact, Reliability, Easy to set up, IOS remote, High quality picture, Great value
Cons: Interface is a bit clunky

It is very compact and nice looking! Netflix needs more titles, this is the only con.

Roku's fine equipment would be enough to keep one a loyal customer, but the company's customer service guarantees I will never stray.
Pros: Easy to set up, Great value, High quality picture, Easy to use, Great customer service, Built in Wi-Fi
Cons: Need fast internet service, Free Hulu unavailable

It's fun and affordable and an easy setup. However, wish that the netflex portions we use had more movies we like.

The sound quality on Pandora, specifically, was not great, and that's where you want it to sound the best. On all channels you lose a lot of the features that you would get from just using a computer, but all-in-all it's an awesome devise for anyone that never watches a show on time (DVR junkie) and wants to lose the cable bill. Oh, and the sports selection is terrible!
