If I can set this up all by myself and it works, a child could! It was surprisingly easy. It's so small and compact. A great buy especially for the price. I love it!

We do not have any tv service. This ROKU box is great. I can get Netflix, Huluplus, and see or listen to the news.

No Subtitles

No subtitles on movies. My dad cannot hear that well, so he watches tv with subtitles (closed captioned). But the Roku device does not have subtitles for movies, so my dad was very disappointed and stopped watching movies with the Roku device. He still has the Netflix, but we just rent the DVDs from them instead of watching through the Roku device. I also watch tv with the closed caption option, so when I do decide to join Netflix, I will not purchase the Roku device. I will try the Wii instead, since it's supposed to be capable of having subtitles.

A friend casually introduced me to the Roku, and i was hooked by the simple but available features. A little nervous at first to play around with the "back of my big screen TV", I ventured in, and 20 minutes later I was surfing for my instant Netflix queue, learning about Pandora and TED. I've been completely satisfied and have recommended this over and over again.

I was getting tired of over spending for cable tv that never had anything good to watch. I found out about Roku and made the plunge easily. I have cut my cable bill by a lot. It was interesting that when I dropped the Cable TV from Time Warner, they contacted me and offered me the entire package I had for less than I was paying!!!!

We do not have cable TV at our second home so I installed a Roku for movies (we have one at our nYC apt.) Watching movies is a pleasure with it.
