Best bang for the buck!

I initally bought the Roku XD just to stream netflix to my tv, but then I found out there was so much more to the roku than just netflix and with so much of it being free made the roku even a better value than previously thought! I have a low end high speed connection (12MB) and it works just fine! Had one little hiccup with it and got online with tech support...they had it fixed in no time for me! Definitely worth the money if you want an inexpensive, feature-packed and easy to use media streamer.
Pros: Compact, Reliability, Easy to set up, Built in Wi-Fi, Video selection, Easy to use, High quality picture, Great value

Great for casual watching. We mostly use it for Netflix, with a bit of Picasa, TED, and international TV news. Connection & speed can be flaky; apparently WiFi is more sensitive than on regular laptops/Chromebooks. Much better with wired network (Ethernet cable), or try to change WiFi channels on your router. Searching for titles is clunky with hunting & pecking via the remote. For something like Netflix, it's much easier to search on a normal computer (with a keyboard) and to add results to your queue.

Cons: Can be flaky on WiFi, Inconsistent performance

Says 'free' but requires credit card info to start 'in case I want to buy something'. I did buy something, the Roku box. If I want to buy more I'll domit later, but don't want yet another company with my cc info. Keep it simple Roku.

I spent 10 hours trying to get this to set up and run. 6 hours trying to get connected to the internet. Laptop connected fine. Then finally got internet connection, would not activate. Followed Video and still would not activate. Returning product to the store.
Cons: Difficult to use, Difficult to set up, Need fast internet service, Could not get to work, Spent 10 hours setup, Would not Activate
