It's so complicated to use it, with how which one I need to pay for my movies, for free or on demand, even without any live news,then I have to pay everything when you charge me whatever I turn the movies on, without any notice how much I got to pay...????
Pros: Compact, Built in Wi-Fi, High quality picture
Cons: Difficult to set up, Difficult to use

We just bought and installed our second Roku. This one to replace our DVD player that supports Netflix. It's so much better than the DVD player. Truly terrific.

I am constantly having to re set this device, reset the wireless internet, unplug, replug, atleast 4 times a day. I spend more time unpluging, then actually watching it. I called Netgear/Roku and they said for [$] I could have support all year. I dont want to have to call support everytime I want to watch tv. This is JUNK!

Customer Phone Service is the worse

Each time I contact the Customer phone service I am received by someone who DOES NOT understand English. It is necessary to explain yourself three or more times before the Customer Service agent can understand you. This is always a problem. Why is phone Customer Service handled offshore with people that do not understand English? It is necessary to yell at them because they don't seem to understand English. The Roku box is fine 98% of the time. It is the phone Customer Service that is the WEAKEST link in the whole organization. You need ENGLISH SPEAKERS.
Cons: Bad Customer Phone Servic

So far, it's a great little media player

Just got mine yesterday, bought as a refurb from Woot. I love the ease at setting this up and I particularly love that it is Wifi ready. I had a little trouble with resetting the definition for my LCD-TV; I thought I had a 1080, but forgot that it's a few yrs older and really a 720. Once I set it for 1080, all I got was a dark blue screen and then discoverd there are no printed instructions for getting yourself out of this jam! I eventually had to go online and work with Roku's support (which, by the way, is EXCELLENT) and we did a full reset with a paperclip. If they'd just print this in their instructions, it would save a lot of time. In the process of working with Roku Support, I found out that my refurb'd Roku XD was still registered to the previous owner, so we also straigtened that out too. I would also suggest they print this process out somewhere because, as a new user, I would never have known where to look. Performance wise, I've only played it for about 4 hours as of this writing and I'm very pleased with the quality and reliability. I love that, unlike other media players I've tried, I do not have to connect a Wifi Adapter (it's built in), nor do I have to attach external memory (it's also built in). I'm not really sure what the retail price of this model is, but I feel that I got a great deal so far.
