After buying the first one for the living room, we could not resist having a second one in the bedroom, especially to fall asleep to our favorite Pandora channel. After seeing the product being put out by GBTV, Netflix, and Pandora (my three major channels), I see the Roku as the delivery vehicle of the future as more homes are proided with unbundled high speed internet that is not priced cheaper just because you also are bundled with cable. Because I have a complex home network, I was experiencing problems watching GBTV (All other channels, such as Netflix performed OK.) GBTV tech support was shooting in the dark about solving my problem, so I decided to give Roku a try. They fixed the problem with only three small changes to my router settings. Although I knew where and how to make the changes, the tech rep that was helping me could have helped the most un-techie person out there. His instructions were clear, and best of all they solved about 99.5% of my problems with GBTV. The .5% that is left is acceptable, and certainly light years better than before the fix. Roku tech support is one of the best I've ever used. One other point. Since September when we got the first Roku, our satellite receiver has been on only about five hours a week, while the Roku is on over 80 hours a week. Pretty soon I think I can convince my wife we don't need sattellite(or cable if it was available here) anymore. I can pay for a lot of Roku channels with the $80 per month I'm payng for satellite. I only pay for GBTV and Netflix right now. But I believe Amazon might be in our future. Overall, I think all of the pay services on Roku are a bit overpriced, but perhaps competition will force the prices down a bit.
Pros: Easy to use, Easy to set up, Built in Wi-Fi, High quality picture
Cons: Want more video choices

I am so happy I bought this thing. I wasn't expecting it to be so wonderful, or so rich in content. What a joy it is to use. It can handle a lot of clicking around (e.g., pause, rewind, instant-replay, back, scan, search, stop, play, etc.,) with only occasional freezing or rebooting. I love the simultaneous HDMI/Composite video out! What's also remarkable is how functional it is even with not-so-fast DSL connections. It's easy to highly recommend.
Pros: Compact, High quality picture, Reliability, Video selection, Easy to set up, Easy to use, Built-in Ethernet, Built in Wi-Fi

This device delivers all that is advertised. I don't know why I see reviews that says there is no You Tube channel, I have it on my Roku. I have watched videos from You Tube on it. Netflix and Amazon are nice if you pay their subscription fees. Love having Pandora for music (free). Pretty reliable product, only problem I have had is the sound doesn't work while the picture is perfectly fine. Don't know what causes this to happen. I have changed HDMI cables and that has worked at times. No sound problems in months since I got an HDMI input splitter. I had too many devices with HDMI and not enough inputs for them so this splitter allows for 3 HDMI inputs into 1 HDMI slot. Overall, I would recommend the XD Roku player.
Pros: Easy to use, Compact, High quality picture, Built in Wi-Fi
Cons: Picture no sound sometim

I don't understand why, I can watch anything available on ROKU on my TV screen, except for the reason I bought it. I can no longer watch GBTV. Yesterday morning I watched GBTV on my TV, then I left and when I came back to listen to the 4th Hour and I couldn't dial it in. Last night I had to watch the shows on the computer...just like before I spent the money on the ROKU. I don't understand why this is happening because I touched nothing, I have checked all connections and I still don't understand why I am having trouble now.
Pros: Easy to use, Compact, Built in Wi-Fi, Easy to set up, Video selection, High quality picture, I could watch GBTV on TV, Great value
Cons: Inconsistent performance, It stopped giving me GBTV, Want more video choices
I would recommend this to a friend!

We have used a Roku for almost two years, every time the power goes off, or Netflix updates, we had to call Roku. The support is almost non-existent for the first year, and then you have to pay for support, or purchase new equipment. They always blame any issues on the internet, cables, electricity, outlets, or Netflix. Every time we have to reprogram the device we have to unplug it for 24 hours, because there is no reset or power button. The customer service reps are rude, and unhelpful. Save your money, get a Sony.
Cons: NO OFFRESET BUTTON, Want more video choices, CONSTANTLY HAVE TO RESET, No support, NO CUSTOMER APPRECIATION, Inconsistent performance
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
