Wanted An Ethernet Wired Connection

Disappointed that ROKU 2 dropped the wired Ethernet port, so bought an older model which offers more. I wanted the security and quality of a wired connection. Only ROKU 2's most expensive player offers an Ethernet port. Not a good decision to dummy down options for consumers. Love the picture quality and sound and am running it in 720p with a 32 inch screen. Like the way that it keeps track of my place when I pause and come back later or keeps track of my viewing when watching a multipart series. Am very happy I decided to go with ROKU.Don

It offers a good amount of entertainment. You do get your moneys worth but loading time is a bit slow.
Pros: Built in Wi-Fi, Compact, High quality picture
Cons: Inconsistent performance, Need fast internet service

I love the off beat channels--sure netflix is cool but there are so many many choices and niche channels out there and Roku never fails to deliver plus (and this is the clincher)roku actually listens to requests--you know of a show on the web you would like to see on roku? Stop by the forum and mention it -- I have seen several new channels added just like that.

A "Must Have" addition for any TV

This little box is absolutely the best addition to any home theater system. I have two Roku boxes – one connected to a flat screen HDTV, and another connected to an old 54" rear projection TV. Roku works great on any TV, no matter how old or new! The picture and audio quality is great, and the content seems almost limitless. It is very easy to set up and adding new channels is a breeze. I dropped my satellite service almost a year ago. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. Having Roku is like having your very own Blockbuster Store right in your livingroom!

I am a new user and am excited at all the channels to choose from.... but a little disappointed that most I choose to add are not available at this point.
Pros: Reliability, Easy to use, Great value, High quality picture, Easy to set up, Built in Wi-Fi, Compact

We do love this, but my husband would like to have access to NFL. The only complaint that we have is that after purchasing it, you still have to pay subscribe to most of the movie channels.
Pros: Compact, Great value, Built in Wi-Fi, Easy to set up, Portable, High quality picture, Reliability, Easy to use
Cons: Need more free to watch, Disney channel no movies, No nfl, Want more video choices
