Love the Idea of It

The Roku remote looks simple. But, except for Home, it isn't intuitive to me. You want to repeat what someone said? You end up at the beginning of the movie. The "go back" arrow doesn't seem to do anything. Not anything good. It is excruciating to type out a movie name. But the clue column is good. You pause the movie and run out of time, and oooops, the machine didn't keep your place for very long. And where are all the movies? Not very many foreign films. I think we saw maybe 6 movies we wanted to see. Of course that may have nothing to do with the Roku device. But you could pass the comment along. I think the device needs some work. But it is a great idea. Of course the directions were probably on the box. The box that our "installer" threw out.
Pros: High quality picture
Cons: Difficult to use, Want more video choices

Right Price, Good Device

Love it. I don't even turn on the cable in the basement, since i connected this wonderful little box. The built in games are difficult but fun. Convienent for work out channels, we have a treadmill. Only one little draw back, when it's slow connecting, i know it will skip and buffer the movie/video, i am trying to watch. And it only does it on amazon and netflix. Way more annoying on amazon, then on netflix. Overall, every about the Roku is Great!

Cons: Buffering on select video, Connection Slow

My 4 year old and my 2 year old learned how to operate it within minutes. They surf Netflix for their favorite cartoons. It keeps them occupied while I get necessary cleaning, cooking, etc done. I use it to watch shows/movies on Netflix after they go to bed. Definitely don't regret purchasing.

Just What I Was Looking For

I purchased it primarily to what the Gospel Broadcast Network on my TV instead of my computer. I was amazed at how small it was and how easy it was to set up with wifi. I am still exploring with it for watching movies and I love the Angry Birds game and all this for free!! I am thinking of getting rid of my Dish Network and saving $120 a month. Great job Roku!!!!!!!

90% In Love with it

My only hang up is that certain news stations, especially ESPN do not play at a high quality....when I saw that we have access to NPR, PBS, ABC, ESPN etc "podcasts" I was so excited with the thought of listening to some radio via my Roku while working from my couch...until I hit play...some are hit and miss and NPR eventually started working but for some reason ESPN's shows have this terrible "chirp" every 5-10 seconds:(
