One of my sons bought me a Netflix subscription as a Christmas present, but I was unable to fully use its capabilities until I bought this Roku box -- now I can watch the downloads on something beside my computer screen. Great technology!

Cut the cable. Now watch what we want when we want. Selection can be sometime intimating. New way to watch TV. Channel surfing...what's that. Primary use NetFlix. Thinking of trying PlayOn

I am a 70 year old woman who had no trouble whatsoever hooking up the Roku to my TV. A problem early on was quickly resolved by the Roku techs who updated the software and told me how to reset the box if problems persisted, which they haven't. The Roku has freed me from paying $100 a month to a cable company to watch 20 minutes of advertisements out of every hour of telecasting. Using Netflix and Huluplus have provided me with hours of enjoyment. Even the very short commercials on Huluplus are tolerable. I am telling everyone I know who is saddled with high cable bills to get a Roku box.

Useful but more popular channels are needed (e.g., vudu, youtube, fox, abc).

Easy enough for a 6 yr old to use

Its nice being able to watch t.v. Shows episode by episode....with no interruption! Also being able to manage what your kids are watching! Better selection would be nice, but great value for what get and is offered! Easy set-up is nice....but the turning off half way through a movie or show is annoying! But own 2 roku boxes and will continue to support roku and there product

Cons: Shows turn off a lot, Inconsistent performance
