Best device I ever bought

I just love it. I bought one for the living room, and then had to have one for my bedroom. I love Netflix and primarily bought it to watch Netflix on my TV. I discovered then all the other channels on Roku. I love the news section.
Pros: Great value, Reliability, Easy to use, High quality picture, Easy to set up, Built in Wi-Fi, Compact
Cons: Want more video choices

A wonderful device, that let's you watch movies instantly from the comfort of your chair in front of the tv, instead of having to sit in front of your computer. It's simple to use and easy to make the selection of which movie you're interested in watching at the time. I'm not easily impressed with new devices, but so far this Roku player has done that. And, the customer service is terrific, if you need them with the set up - as I did, or for any technical question. Please give this device a try - it's well worth the money.

It Works!

Like Roku overall. Had problems setting up due to changes needed in my home network. On phone with tech support about 30 min. and issues were resolved. We have fast internet, timed at 12-18mbps, and at times have delay problems, which I assume may be due to ability to stream at source. Overall very happy.
Pros: Built in Wi-Fi, Video selection, Easy to use, Compact, High quality picture
Cons: Had to call Roku support, Difficult to set up

This is a wonderful product that allowed me to cancel my cable after 20 years. It has tons of free content and lots of great paid content that really makes you feel like you got your moneys worth. The only downside is you will want fast internet. However the little extra you put into internet speed will be more then covered by not paying for cable.

Greatest thing since the invention of TV

Our Roku device actually replaced our satelite TV service... and we're happy with our decision! The only thing there is to complain about it is that every once in a blue moon the device will act weird and we'll need to power-cycle it. But the good thing is that power-cycling it always fixes is for at least several weeks. It would be best if the device had an off button....but I can see why it doesn't because receivers for other TV services can't be turned completely off either.
Pros: Built in Wi-Fi, Great value, Compact, Easy to set up
Cons: No off button

Multi-story success

I was worried this wouldn't work in our house. Cable modem is on main floor in one corner, TV is in the basement, opposite corner of house. I got the XD box for the signal boost, and got an "N" dual-band wireless router for the house. We've had NO hiccups at all. It's perfect. Sidenote: friends use their Wii for Netflix, that remote is a nightmare! I'm so happy with the Roku choice!

Can't live without it!

To sum it up, the Roku XD Player is compact, reliable, video quality is great, and it provides the family with unlimited, inexpensive entertainment. We couldn't imagine life without it. As a matter of fact, since getting the Roku HD, we rarely even watch cable TV. We are more than satisfied.
