I like this product overall but thought that signing up with Roku and giving my credit card info was unnecessary considering I'm not actually buying a service from them. Overall it is a reliable product and I haven't had a problem with it. Because internet speed varies throughout the day it is useful that picture quality adjusts instead of buffering at the same quality.
Pros: Reliability, Easy to set up, Great value, Built in Wi-Fi, Compact, Easy to use
Cons: Credit Card Unnecessary

I purchased this Roku XD player almost a month ago. Setup was easy on my network, just had to enter the password of my secured home network. It has worked flawlessly since setup.
Pros: Easy to set up, High quality picture, Compact, Easy to use, Built in Wi-Fi, Reliability

Use my Roku box to watch TV and movies during times when the regular broadcast schedule has nothing interesting on, and also to catch TV series I missed when they were originally broadcast, or were never broadcast in the US (watching a lot of British TV series). It's easy to use - my 83 year old non-tech mother mastered it easily - fast - with good quality, even though my wireless router is in another room and the connection isn't very strong. They don't lie about the set-up only taking a few minutes - and it was super-easy.

I was thinking about getting cable. Roku has turned out to be the better choice. I get to watch what I want, when I want!
