this roku box is just amazing. Now I can watch all my favorite Nepalese channels from home even I'm very far from Nepal. Thanks ROKU.

I had difficulty with the setup. However, the customer service tech stayed with me until the box was working well. The tech even called me when the original phone call was dropped. This is great service.
Pros: Great value, High quality picture, Built in Wi-Fi, Compact, Reliability, Video selection
Cons: Difficult to set up

A "Catch-22" Product

Wireless network would not set up. Wired network succeeded but made me boot the computer (which can't be online at the same time as the Roku) so I couldn't set up an account. Credit card information is required by Roku and this is SO unfair to the consumer. They have ruined a potentially good product. I would never recommend Roku to anybody!

Cons: Difficult to set up, Difficult to use

I bought the Roku on a Friday, and by Sunday it quit working completely. Setting the thing up was a freaking nightmare to begin with and then on Sunday night I had to redo the whole set up process again. I went on line for trouble shooting and got answers but it was so much work, passwords for this, write that code down, and run to the computer. Totally not worth the money I paid for it. I don't make that much money and I treated myself to the one thing that I have wanted since it came out and now I am out [$]. What a rip off!! I am so disappointed in this product, I want to cry for the money I lost.
Pros: NONE
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy to use, great video quality

Using the product as an alternative to cable. Would love to see more choices, especially shows like the Golf Channel, and some other specialty shows.

Nice little box

I used the Roku to replace a spare PC running Windows XP that I had connected to the living TV that I used to watch Netflix. While that worked, the PC was noisy and software updates ran at inconvenient times and it was prone to 'customization' by well-meaning relatives. I really like the small size, the silent operation, and the great picture quality. On the downside, I don't like attaching a credit card to the box and the Netflix selection doesn't let me manage my DVD queue.
Pros: High quality picture, Easy to use, Compact, Great value, Built in Wi-Fi
