The idea was great the launch haphazard, it does not stream most HULU plus shows and movies, all the shows we watched CSIs, Bones, memphis beat, hawthorne, and many many others would come up as " unable to stream" internet only to watch, better off buy the cables to hook your computer to your TV, better service and WAY cheaper
Pros: Compact, It functions, Easy to set up, Easy to use, Built in Wi-Fi
Cons: Want more video choices, Inconsistent performance, Does not stream most HULU
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Like the player very much but it has an electrical smell, kind of like a short-circuit smell. Roku kindly replaced the original but the replacement smells just as bad. Good thing we have it in a cabinet.

Cons: Player case smells bad

What is great about the Roku is that it is small and very easy to install even if your are not technically inclined. Even if you're technically challenged you will have no problem getting this unit on line.
Pros: Great value, Compact, Built in Wi-Fi, Easy to set up, Easy to use

Had to dig-up my router information. Still ended up calling Cisco for assistance.

Great Little Box!

The Roku ties into our home network and works Great. We live in a rural area where there limited choices available. It is easy to setup and offers a vast array of channel options. When you have a wireless network and already pay for high speed internet service, it gives an economical choice for home entertainment.

Cons: Does take good bandwidth, Need fast internet service
