I was disappointed with this product

I was lead to believe I could watch all the shows on regular Hulu and more. But after I got the unit most of the shows I like were only streaming on the web not Roku. Big bummer.
Pros: Easy to set up, Built in Wi-Fi
Cons: Most shows r web only, Want more video choices
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

great product with one major defect

My hearing is poor and I depend on closed captions to know what is going on. I can only use my Roku XD for instant streaming of foreign films (which have subtitles). Until Roku/Netflix can add a closed caption capability to the Roku XD I'll have to depend on my snail mail DVDs from Netflix when I want to watch English language films.
Pros: Excellent picture, No picture dropouts, Excellent search function, Very easy to set up

Simply Amazing

I bought this device on a recommendation of a friend. I have never been so happy with a device like this. It was so simple to set up right out of the box. It took all of 5 minutes and then I was streaming right from my netflix account. I am also impressed with the choices it has to offer as far as programming. I bought this for my office where I was not willing to pay the cable company for expensive business class television service. I am running it on mid-grade DSL service and the picture is flawless. I will recommend this device to everyone.
Pros: Reliability, Great value, Compact, Easy to use, Built in Wi-Fi, Video selection, High quality picture, Easy to set up

[...] Had problems accessing links to input code but figured out that internet browser was problem. Superb support staff assisted me in set-up and directed me to correct web browser to put codes in. Everything working great. Far exceeded my expectations. Hope they keep adding more free channels. I'll definately recommend ROKU to everyone.

We use our Roku box, combined with streaming Netflix subscription, to replace our (increasingly unsatisfactory (basic-package) Comcast subscription. We now get much more, and better, TV options-- at a better long-term rate.

Glad they developed this product. Now we can sit on the sofa instead of on our computer chairs. And the TV is so much better than our 22" monitor. Took us a while to find our router key, but was easy to complete setup after that...
Pros: Easy to use, Compact, Love the wireless feature, Video selection, Great value, High quality picture, TV better than monitor

I'm amazed at how quickly this was set up! Roku connected to my wireless netword seamlessly. My only issue is that the sound now comes out of the TV speakers instead of the home theater speakers and I can't find how to change this. Any suggestions?
