Once set up the device is really great. Have encouraged all my friends to buy one. We have bought 3, one for three locations.
Pros: Simple easy to use, Reliability, Built in Wi-Fi, Can be used with any tv, High quality picture, Easy to use, Always on, No buttons to press, Compact
Cons: Need fast internet service, Difficult to set up

Wow!! This is going to eventually replace cable and sat. tv someday. This may be the new way of getting a wider range of media content that you can't get on the paid services. I use our ROKU in our basement to watch tv where we work out. It was a better choice than having to get a cable/sat box. Do yourself a favor and get on of these boxes. And the best part, you don't have to pay those high cable prices for the same thing you can get on the ROKU box!!!

Roku XD Fails

Wireless capability failed after 1 year and 4 months, 4 months out of warranty. No repair offered or available. Just an "I'm sorry" from the supervisor of support. Needless to say, I'm a dissatisfied customer who will not buy from Roku again.

Cons: Inconsistent performance, Need fast internet service
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The only faults I see with this product is the lack of an on/off switch, and could use more free channels such as hulu free...which I currently have access to from my pc only.

We would like to know if it is possible to have subtitles for the movies? Some of us older folks have trouble hearing everything.

All too often, when I try a new connection, I'm informed that it's "not available at this time". Concerning setup, it was almost impossible until your Tech finally realized that my NetGear channel needed to be changed.

This would be my main source of Movies and TV, but the wife wants cable for our 20 month old son so he can watch Mickey Mouse Club house and Spourt channel, If you offered these it would be our #1 entertainment source. It already is in my book, plus there is a lot for my son on Netflick
