Appalling Customer Service

After speaking with customer service for 4 hours including a supervisor, it became very apparent they lacked the knowledge to set up Roku with comcast. After calling Comcast tech support I finally got the informnation that I needed. It was a waste of four hours. I would not reccomend this to a friend. I am ordering a router and hope it will work to set up the Roku. Advertising makes false claims that no PC is needed. It was a terrible experience taking to Roku support. If anything goes wrong with the product as so many reviewers say, I will just throw it away and buy a new BlueRay player with Netflix set up in the BlueRay player.
Cons: Lack of knowledge, Difficult to set up
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I just love to watch the movie of my choice without a million commercials and cutting the film to ensure the 7 to 12 commercials per 5 minutes of movie. ROKU gets a Major Thumbs up from me!

I don't know if it's Netflix or my Net provider but the service drops out frequently.
Pros: Easy to use, Easy to set up, Video selection, Compact
Cons: Inconsistent performance, Want more video choices

Great Buy

I got tired of paying high prices for cable, most channels I didn't even watch. I got the ROKU for Netflix and Hulu plus. Since then, I've added a few more channels. It paid for itself within the first few months. The only problem I have had is that every once in a while, the volume and picture go out of sync. There's been a few times that it froze up at the end of a show and I had to reset it. It's used in the living room on the only TV in my apartment.
Pros: High quality picture, Great value, Video selection, Easy to use, Compact, Reliability, Easy to set up
Cons: Inconsistent performance, Need fast internet service

We don't even watch TV at all anymore since we got the Roku. There are so many options and a good variety of things to watch and listen to. Thank you for being invented Roku!
