I really enjoy my Roku XD it works fine

The only thing that I wasn't happy with was I could not use the HDMI cable as it wouldn't work with it, but when I hooked up the standard cables it worked fine.
Pros: Easy to use, Video selection, Built in Wi-Fi, Great value, Compact, Reliability, High quality picture, Easy to set up
Cons: Could not use HDMI

Great for NETFLIX terrible for NHL

As of right now I see the ROKU as being just average because of the severe problems streaming live video, namely the NHL Network, for which I primarily purchased it. So far the MLB Network seems to function properly. I hope the synchronization with the NHL can be fixed by next season, because right now it is horrible and very annoying.
Pros: Compact, Easy to set up, Easy to use, High quality picture
Cons: Inconsistent performance

Excellent proformance - and easy to use

The only not so great thing is that we have had a problem with the connection twice I did not list it as 'inconsistant preformance' as it was less than a half hour both times - and given the fact that my husband had surgery 3 months ago and uses it everyday that twice for a short time is nothing in comparison to the issues we've experienced with our internet service provider. We did not have to take any action to get the system running again - it cleared itself up. While it was easy to set up, the directions were not clear immediatelty, so there would be room for improvement there. With the Roku and Netflix you can watch what you want, when you want and if you stop in the middle you can go back and start right where you left off. The picture is great,the remote is easy to work - it really is great - we are very happy with the choice of purchasing the roku over some other product.

Problem turning off switching to other options (DVD, VCR)

I like the whole idea that it is cheaper than our cable provider, however, the unit is slow when switching back and forth to movies. I wish it would download faster.
Pros: Easy to use, Easy to set up
Cons: Inconsistent performance, Need fast internet service, Want more video choices

Excellent Bang for the Buck!

I love this thing. Netflix works very well on it as does Hulu Plus. Other channels seem to work with varying degrees of quality - but I haven't tried any other pay services. It was very easy to configure on my wireless network, and at 30 feet away through a floor and multiple walls never seem to lose signal strength with maximum definition streams always available (through 12Mbps DSL). My only beef with it is the limited memory for channels on the device. Having added multiple private channels, I now have to choose which ones to delete before adding anything else. A way to expand the memory of it would be a nice addition.
