sure how to use is not very well explained..I am 71..love movies but not very tech smart....make it easier for old peeps and put the simple process on on/off/select/etc on a index card, nake it simple..it is a struggle but I email son and he prompts me

Satisfied with how it works, but...

Had some problems setting it up, but once we figured out that it was not coming on and needed to be reset, it was relatively easy. The unit is very sensitive and when we moved it, the power would cut out. Now when we switch over to it on our TV's menu, sometimes it does not come on, on the first or second try. By switching back and forth, it will come up with the menu. Somewhat disappointed that even though it says it's 1080p, all the Netflix movies come through as 720p. And we can't seem to figure out how to get any close captioning to work on the Netflix movies/tv shows. Somewhat of a drawback since we rely on that feature. All in all, a good value and we have used it quite a bit. I would hate to see Netflix go entirely to this venue because of the close captioning problem.

Roku sits onobtrusively next to my cable box and is always ready when I switch the system to Roku. Pro: Always available for instant movies. Con: Occasional hangup with black screen (only seen on NASA channel) requires unplugging power to reset.
Pros: Compact, Built in Wi-Fi, Easy to set up, Great value, High quality picture, Easy to use
Cons: Needs occasional reset, Want more video choices

We do wish that the selection of films would be more accurately sorted; for instance, the documentary series 'World's Toughest Fixes' on the National Geographic Channel, is NOT like pseudo-reality series like"Man vs. Wild'

Need Faster down loading

movies are downloading to slow to view movies all the way threw

I do not watch any pay tv - satellite or cable; Roku has completely replaced any desire to do so. It is incredible and I am so happy that I got one.

Great product challanging software

I recently purchased my 2nd Roku XD for use on our main TV. The first one was put on the bedroom TV and my wife insisted we add one on the main TV. The set up is pretty easy, easier the 2nd time around. It is easy to use and the video quality is very good. The remote is at times a bit challenging as it does not always respond. Most of the network options, except for Netflix and Pandora leave a lot to be desired, IMHO.
Pros: Easy to use, Compact, Reliability, High quality picture, Built in Wi-Fi, Easy to set up, Great value
Cons: Want more video choices
