Regret Buying Roku

I regret buying Roku because I primarily use it for Netflix streaming. A more economical and better choice would be to get a bluray player that does the same Netflix streaming. Unfortunately, I lost track of time and missed the 30-day period for returning the Roku. Every time I use the unit, I am reminded that I made the wrong decision.
Pros: Easy to use, Easy to set up
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

You need some computer savy to set up. Glad I knew some one who does.

Roku is better than using a Wii because of all the added content that you can see for free (news, etc) or pay for if Netflix isn't enough already. Plus, your kid (or SO) can keep the Wii.
Pros: Video selection, Reliability, Built in Wi-Fi, High quality picture, Easy to use, Great value, Compact

Its simple, its precise and honestly it has a ton of potential. There is a saying in engineering that says something like, you're not finished when you have nothing left to add but when you have nothing left to take away. The Roku player has executed that excellently. It's got everything you need to allow your TV to take advantage of modern media without all the extra useless gadgets that blow up the price.

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! IT IS VERY REASONABLE IN TERMS OF PRICE, IS EASY TO SET UP AND WORKS GREAT! I USE IT EVERYDAY FOR INTERNET RADIO AND 3-4 TIMES A WEEK FOR MOVIES. THE ONE DRAWBACK IS THAT THE SEARCH FEATURE/OPTION IS TOO TIME CONSUMING. I WISH IT HAD A MICRO-KEYBOARD OF SOME SORT TO MAKE IT FASTER. OTHER THAN THAT I THINK IT IS PERFECT. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE. IT MAKES A GREAT GIFT!

Easy to use, problematic connectivity

I love how small the box is and that I can access hulu, amazon, and netflix. Would love to be able to access AppleTV as well but that seems unlikely to be added in the future. Easy to operate but the connectivity is a problem. The wifi just stopped working for us on hulu and was very spotty on Netflix. So we drilled a hole in the wall and connected it to our network via ethernet and we still have occasional outages and resets.
Pros: Great value, Easy to set up, Easy to use, Compact
Cons: Inconsistent performance, Need fast internet service

Kill Your Cable Bill

If you need to trim the fat from your cable bill, get a nice fast connection and get a Roku. I think the channel selector could be more elegant, but that bit aside, you will so much enjoy active, directed tv viewing more than passive, whatever they choose to show you tv. You do not know how annoying commercials have become until you watch a few of your shows commercial free. I can't stand regular tv after just a few weeks of my Roku and Netflix. Not everything is there yet... the newest, hottest shows will take time to show up and I don't see True Blood on it, but there is so much content I can't complain.
Pros: Great value, Easy to use, Compact, Reliability, Video selection, High quality picture, Built in Wi-Fi, Easy to set up
Cons: Slightly clunky interface

Fantastic Unit!

I purchased this unit for my wife. She has MS and spends much time in bed resting. She absolutely is in love with the Roku. She loves movies and says this is the best present I have given her since her wedding ring. I plan to get another one for my recently finished basement.
