My wife and I are using it 24 hours seven days a week, never had any problems, it beats anything we ever used before. We discontinued all Cable and Satellite TV Services in exchange for our little ROKU.
Pros: High quality picture, Compact, Built in Wi-Fi, Great value, Easy to use, Reliability, Easy to set up, Video selection
Cons: Want more video choices

With two kids, a crazy schedule and no DVR, it is perfect for me and the family to watch shows when we want. My kids have access to hundreds of shows (at no extra cost) that they love! My wife and I can catch up on our favorite shows when the kids are in bed. Instant movies are no problem through Amazon video on demand (or Netflix if you like).I only pay hulu plus (about $8.00 a month) and I have basic cable. I have owned both Dish and Direct. I had the big 10' foot dish at one time. The set up that I have now is perfect for my lifestyle.There are many channel choices. I just put wanting more as a con just because I am greedy!I bought my roku system through [...] at a very good price with lots of extra incentives. DO NOT BUY FROM EBAY!!! WAY OVER PRICED!There are many other options in programming. I highly recommend the Roku to busy parents who are missing their shows and don't want to fool around with a DVR.

The Roku sets up in minutes, but you need a Roku account before you start the setup. The instructions that came with the player skip this important step. However, it's easy to figure out once you start the set up process and the live chat was very helpful. We've been having problems with streaming interruptions-- not every time we watch something, but enough to make it mildly irritating. However, getting back to where you left off when an interruption does occur is easy. I'm also quite positive that these interruptions are caused by the inconsistent nature of my internet service--not the Roku. It's just another way for the cable company to keep you bound. I'm not sure we can give up cable for Roku (yet), but it's definitely worth [$]

I purchased this for my boyfriend who is a big Netflix streamer and put it on a 19" LCD TV in our bedroom. He absolutely loves it! Movies are sometimes slow to load or pause in the middle to "catch up." The Roku is only 20 feet or so from our wireless router so not sure why the delay. I would definitely consider buying another to connect to our big tv.

Simply the best device out there for streaming video content from providers. Great picture and sound for those who opt to use a HDMI cable to either their A/V receiver and output to their HDTV, or directly to their HDTV. Also, connects to many important content providers.

Can't stream Netflix, lousy support

I enjoyed this box for a month or so, but streaming via netflix has tanked entirely. Support walks you through the same list of steps which don't resolve the issue, and then they dump your call/chat. Message board has multiple threads about this issue with no resolution. Appears to be server overload at Netflix ONLY for Roku (no streaming issues using PC or other hardware). I'm dumping my roku!

Cons: Inconsistent performance, Difficult to use, Want more video choices, Support ignores issues
