So glad I came across a review of the ROKU, I was about to buy a Blue Ray player for many more $$$ . Glad to have saved the money. The Roku is easy to set up (we are not techies) and we got it running in no time. Thanks for a great product
Pros: Compact, High quality picture, Easy to set up, Built in Wi-Fi, Great value, Reliability, Easy to use
Cons: Want more video choices

Not just for the younger generation.

A great addition to home entertainment. Many more movies, music, and things I don't even know about yet have been added to my choices for enjoyment. I was around before microwave ovens came out so you can guess my age. I've only been using it a couple of days so haven't really broken it in. But, I can seen great possibilities. Now, I can sit in the comfort to watch live streaming instead of right at the computer. I did need help connecting and getting it going but I'm not high tech. It's easy to use once connected.
Pros: High quality picture, Easy to use, Compact, Great value, Built in Wi-Fi, Video selection

intensely difficult to set up. needed an rf modulator to connect to an older tv with coax feed only and no one in customer support could suggest it. then it took 3 hours to get it to work wirelessly with my network and finally kept loosing the signal. after 3 hours and one tech on the phone who was understanding i was able to make it work.. nowhere in their literature did it say anything about such difficulties so i urge caution if you are not a technophile.
Cons: Older tv set, Difficult to set up, Inconsistent performance
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'm technically challenged yet was able to set this up and use it without having to call any of my more technically proficient friends. And the cost makes it an incredible value! I'm very pleased.

Very Easy Set-Up

Great Player. Only wish that there was a means to select free video streams from the Web, rather than going through the large, but generally useless or expensive channels other than Netflix, MHz had some great series that were free for awhile, but are now rather expensive.

Sometimes needs to reload during play. Cannot use 1080p setting, have to use lower or standard to watch program. Device reloads repeatedly at higher settings.
Pros: Great value, Easy to use, Easy to set up, Built in Wi-Fi, Compact
Cons: Want more video choices, Need fast internet service, Inconsistent performance
